From the Forums: Show off the BlackBerry PlayBook browser with We Choose the Moon!
CrackBerry member Maxxberry shared in the forums an awesome website for showing off the BlackBerry PlayBook's browser. The site is called We Choose the Moon and honors the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. It's chock full of flashy goodness, and really shows what the PlayBook is capable of on content-rich websites. Not only that, the site is really interesting! My daughter and I watched Apollo 11 launch into space, and spent quite a bit of time looking through the media, learning about the shuttle and mission - all on my PlayBook.

Reality check time, people.
It's a little sad that the leading Playbook exciting news is "Look at this cool prexisting website with flash that you can see in your Playbook browser!"
What's next? Leading news story on how you can fit your Playbook in your coat pocket? (wait, has this already been reported here?)
I along with most other Playbook owners want more meaningful news. Of course more meaningful news means that the good people at RIM must get to work and fulfill the potential of this product with enhanced functionality etc ASAP.
Let's not be cheerleaders at such silly things such as a website being cool folks.

It's not the fact that it's a cool, preexisting website that's got everyone all hyped up. It's the fact that you can see it on your PlayBook, but not an iPad, or be handled easily by an Android tablet.

There will be many sites that pre-exist anything that comes out after it was created. Its just the mere fact that the istone pre-exist the site and yet it still unable to play the site at all while the technology is the forefront of forward progress for websites. Androids plays it now with an update it awhile back but still its an awesome site that the Playbook preforms very well for being a new platform across the board. Androids OS and IOS are not new untested platforms so it should have all its kinks out before such pre-existing sites. This is just one aspect of all the other pre-existing OS platforms that shows the capability of the new QNX OS on its first rendition out the door running....

This was the first flash site i opened after buying my playbook 2 days ago. I am stunned by the performance. Every flash website or application runs very well. Some times it doesnt fit exactly to the screen but its ok to pinch and zoom a little.
