While we all love BlackBerry, there's no denying that today's a pretty big day in the tech sphere — and whatever your preference when it comes to mobile — it's always worth paying attention to what Apple is doing at its annual WWDC event which just so happens to start today. Most of the week is dedicated to developer sessions but the show is opened by a keynote address starring CEO Tim Cook and other assorted Apple executives. And our pals at iMore are on the ground in San Francisco covering the whole thing live.
iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 are certainly on the cards along with whatever new features they each bring to the table. This is the big Apple event of the year so if you want to know what's going down, then you'll want to be following iMore.
Fortunately, they've got a spiffy new event page all set up to pull in every single little thing you'll need to know. Apple will be streaming the event live online – as usual to Mac owners using Safari – as well as iOS devices and the Apple TV. If you don't fall into any of those categories – and even if you do – the iMore liveblog is the place to be.
Head on over there to keep up with things as the day goes past!
UPDATE FROM KEVIN: Some of the comments on this post are pretty funny. For YEARS now, we've always done a pre / post Apple event article on whatever their big news of the day is. Look, Apple is a huge part of the smartphone / mobile industry, and what they do tends to affect everybody. If you care about tech news, and even just BlackBerry news, it's important to know what the competition is up to now so you have context on the things you do care about. HOWEVER, if you really, really just want to avoid the news at all cost, then I suggest you jump over to our June CrackBerry Giveaway where you can **WIN AN IOU for your choice of BlackBerry Classic or BlackBerry Windermere smartphones. Totally awesome prize!

A look at what Apple came up with, borrowed, stole and re-invented for iOS 8
I missed out on iMore's WWDC live blog, so I'm just getting caught up on it all now. As expected, Apple went ahead and announced iOS 8 which promises to bring a ton of changes to the platform for both customers and developers and, like always with Apple, it's being touted as 'the biggest iOS release ever' — but Apple never had time to talk about them all.
