One interesting app I found at BlackBerry Jam Asia was FlockMe. These guys are trying to make something of a social event matchmaking service on BlackBerry 10. Users connect their Facebook account, and based on their interests, are presented with events happening around them so they can meet like-minded people.
The goal here isn't so much dating (though that use case is still pretty obvious) but more about meeting new people in a larger group setting. This can be perfect for those that are new to town without much of a social network of their own, or even those that are looking to branch out a bit from their usual circles.
It's a neat idea, though it will really need a critical mass of usership to really take off. What do you guys think - is this something you would use if you were moving to a new city? FlockMe will be landing in BlackBerry World in the next 3-4 weeks, so keep an eye out.

Update to Translator app for BlackBerry 10 to include geolocated Wikipedia articles
An incoming update to MMMOOO's Translator app will include quick reference to geolocated Wikipedia articles thanks to some fresh BlackBerry Maps integration. The idea here is that folks using a translator are already traveling somewhere foreign, so more information about nearby spots is clearly useful. As always, Translator also lets you translate text between 50 languages with one of...
Epicue for BlackBerry 10 to help users figure out restaurant wait times
Epicue is an interesting check-in app that aims to make sure the restaurants you go to don't have a massive wait time, and we got a sneak peak at BlackBerry Jam Asia 2013. Users check in to establishments with the app and give the place a red, yellow, or green wait time rating. They can also check into Foursquare, Facebook, Twitter, and BBM at the same time, as well as upload a picture...

One of the key things BlackBerry customers love and want to see more of on the BlackBerry 10 platform is apps and games and with BlackBerry Jam Asia now underway, there has been some new announcements in that area. On top of the already announced Sina Weibo app, several other new entrants from all app categories are coming to BlackBerry World and will be readily available to demo...
Need an alternative Twitter app for BlackBerry 10? We go hands on with Neatly
As things stand currently there aren't many options for Twitter clients on BlackBerry 10. That will clearly change in the very near future, but if you fancy using something other than the 'limiting' native Twitter app, you may want to check out Neatly for BlackBerry 10. I met up with the developer of Neatly, Ahmed, earlier today at BlackBerry Jam in Amsterdam and he kindly agreed to...
