FlipSide Music Player: Version 1.07 Released and Now Available from!

By Kevin Michaluk on 30 Jan 2008 10:27 am EST

FlipSide Music Player

I just received an email from FlipSide letting me know they have released a new update to their BlackBerry Music Player and better news yet, it's now available from our own Software Store!!

FlipSide Version 1.07 offers a number of performance improvements, particularly when loading music for the first time.

If you're not familiar with FlipSide, it's a very graphical and user-friendly media player for the BlackBerry that is compatible with all trackball BlackBerry's equipped with a Media Card. One of the most popular features is the ability to "swoosh" through the full-color cover art of an entire music collection within seconds using your Berry's trackball. FlipSide downloads and displays each album's cover art and even links to FlipSide Extras to provide biographies of the artists, recommendations for similar artists and more. Flipside plays music in MP3, WMA, M4A and AAC formats, and also allows users to create their own playlist.

The FlipSide Music Player has been a big hit around, ever since we announced the release of its Beta. We were the first to post about it (accidentally let the word slip), but it quickly transpired into 5,000 downloads in a single weekend. Be sure to download a free trial and give it a go yourself!

Anyone know what's changed in this release?

Kevin Michaluk

Nothing to sexy, but they are improvements nonetheless. From FlipSide...

v1.7 Change log:
- Improved loading times.
- Improved memory handling.
- Improved image handling.
- Fixed issue with Disk Mode deleting the meta data.
- Made button on top edge of device toggle pause (like the stock media player).

am i suppose to play music on this application, because i just paid my $19.95 TO DOWNLOAD it, i have put it on my phone, but i cannot play any of the music on it...did i do something wrong, let me know

on my blackberry player, i have album work for the majority of my songs, when the flipside copied my songs, it did not copy the artwork, is there a way i can add the artwork myself

I appreciate these type of instructions and guidelines for the beginner and sometimes it useful fr professionals as logo design
