Flappy Bird may have taken the mobile gaming world by storm recently but the word on the street is that the developer has pulled the game from both Android and iOS and with no plans for a Windows Phone release. We've been able to play the game on BlackBerry 10.2.1 thanks to the easy loading of Android APK's, however for us BlackBerry 10 users there's a new kid in town.
Flappy Herbie Saga: Trolls Of The Forest is now available to download from BlackBerry World. You may well recognize Herbie as he's the star of the popular game FlyCraft which we've featured a few times here at CrackBerry. Flappy Herbie is much the same as Flappy Bird but native BlackBerry 10 and in fact only took 18 hours to write!
Available for all BlackBerry 10 handsets and free to download, you get the same challenging concept as you do with Flappy Bird, just this time with a familiar character. Herbie doesn't make the game any easier though - I am still totally useless, but considering how popular Flappy Bird has been I'm sure you'll be grabbing Herbie and giving him a go.
If you die in the game you'll have the option to continue playing via the use of gems. Once you run out of the free ones you can purchase more through an in-app purchase if you desire, but it's not a requirement.
Features of Flappy Herbie include:
- Simple one touch controls so you can play anywhere and single-handedly
- Featuring the hero from the award winning game FlyCraft
- Share your scores on Facebook
- Sweet graphics
- Collect red life gems
- Use Life Gems to continue from where you died
- Relaxing Zen quotes and music for calming down when feeling the need to throw your phone on the wall
Let's see if you can get a higher score with Herbie than you could with that bird?

Brain Coach - Have you got the skills to beat it?
Even if your initial thoughts are that playing Brain Coach is not your thing, you may well be surprised. We've seen one or two BlackBerry 10 games that are designed to test your brain, and this one does it better than the others I've previously tried. Race your way to top with Top Speed: Drag & Fast Racing
While there may be quite a few car racing games available in the storefront, there is always room for one more, at least in my opinion. The latest release from Thunderbull Entertainment is certainly a drag racing game filled with action, stunning visuals, and customization. As someone who spent the better part of her youth playing racing games, albeit with those clunky wheel attachments...
