OK CrackBerry Nation, listen up because this is a contest you're going to want to get in on. The folks at Fixmo Corp have put together a contest for CrackBerry readers that is going to give one lucky winner an amazing grand prize... a trip around the world!!!
Grand Prize: The Grand Prize winner of the Fixmo Round the World Contest will win a Star Alliance Around the World economy class ticket and $1,000 in spending money. And rest assured once the lucky winner is chosen and booking their flights we'll put the forums into overtime so the winner can meetup with CrackBerry peeps in every destination (if you choose to make stop in Winnipeg the food/drinks are on me or if you swing by Toronto they're on the Fixmo crew!). I think this is quite possibly the best CrackBerry contest prize to date!
How to Enter: To enter the contest, just go to the crackberry app store or app world and download the free trial of Fixmo Tools. Using the feedback option inside the application tell us what you think would be the coolest utility you'd like to see on your BlackBerry. The contest is open between March 20th and March 27th. One entry per person. After March 27th, one winner will be selected and the grand prize of a trip around the world plus $1,000 spending money will be awarded. 25 free copies of Fixmo tools will also be awarded. The full rules and details can be found at www.fixmo.com/contest. No purchase is necessary. If you already have Fixmo tools installed on your BlackBerry, you can enter by using the feedback button. And remember, if you like Fixmo Tools and want to buy it, you can always save $5 off the retail price when you buy it via crackberry.com/getfixmo.
That's it! Check out the contest site for full details, and go download the Fixmo Tools free trial and submit your feedback. Good Luck!!!

A year from when you win it.

It's $1,000.00 CDN not USD. #justsaying
EDIT: And the contest starts March 21st.
Rick-Segal Mar 21, 2010 at 11:39 am
Canadian Currency has nicer colors, cooler pictures, and is almost a parity. I'm just sayin.... :-)

Rather pointless for non US/CDN entrants. They cannot win the grand prize, Only the free copy. FAIL.
These companies will gladly take our money from anywhere in the world but when they run promotions and competitions its &^%$* off rest of the world.
Even RIM is guilty of this.

Panther_88 Mar 19, 2010 at 10:00 pm
not sure why crackberry keeps trying to get us to try this app. they can run all the contests they want, won't change the fact that app isn't worth buying. i wander what kind of deal crackberry has going with fixmo. come on guys, this app is just not that good. time to face facts.
bmc1217 Mar 19, 2010 at 10:21 pm
I would to take my fiancee on a trip around the world before our precious newborn comes :)
BigBadWulf Mar 19, 2010 at 10:26 pm
I've been a beta tester for Fixmo since it first came out, so I can't download and enter the contest, but it's the best darn resource app going. Some other nice features as well.

tfrankson Mar 20, 2010 at 1:47 am
contest.
paulq#cb Mar 20, 2010 at 1:48 am
This is a nice contest! However, make sure you read the rules. For example, you have to include your name, address, etc. in the email feedback.
The winner is chosen by a panel, not a drawing so I assume you should come up with a really good feature idea (if that's what they are judging on).
Hope this makes the product even better!!
WhoolioPreludee Mar 20, 2010 at 2:25 am
I need to see the world. Along with my BB and fixmo of course....
st_temps Mar 20, 2010 at 5:05 am
From the comments above it seems that you need ti live in the US or Canada to enter but I can't see this written anywhere in the blog or in the competition rules!
st_temps Mar 20, 2010 at 5:10 am
Residents of the United States and Canada: This Contest is open to all natural persons who are legal residents of Canada or the 48 contiguous states and who have or will have reached the age of majority in their respective place of residence by March 21, 2009 at 12:01 am (EST.....
International entrants: Non-residents are eligible to participate in the Contest but presently are not eligible to receive the Prize. The Sponsor is exploring whether international entries can be eligible to receive the Prize and will post updates to these Rules should this change.
Rick-Segal Mar 21, 2010 at 11:45 am
The contest is open to all and we will be able to award it to anyone where it isn't illegal to do so.
Rick Segal, Co-Founder, Fixmo
st_temps Mar 21, 2010 at 12:19 pm
So is legal for you to award the main prize to residents in the uk?
g000se Mar 20, 2010 at 5:34 am
only available in usa and canada?
i deleted the Fixmo trial immediately when i found out the country restriction.
why bother from the uk?
Yandar Mar 20, 2010 at 5:30 pm
Yes, the only want our ideas. God forbid we could actually be allowed to win something.
Rick-Segal Mar 21, 2010 at 11:48 am
Sorry the contest rules have the international clause because we didn't know. We now do and that clause will be removed. If it is legal to award the contest in a particularly country, we'll do it.
So, we'll pick, check, and if it is okay, we'll award it.
In the UK, we'd need to report it to the tax people, etc.
So, yes, you can enter and yes you can win from the UK.
Sorry about the confusion.

This is deffientely the best contest Crackberry has ever had, courtesy of Fixmo corp. and we thank you :)
There is going to be a lot of people entering this one, and with only one winner its going to be like playing the lottery!
Good Luck too everyone who enters and me!
Delrahim69 Mar 20, 2010 at 9:34 am
Great giveaway. A trip around the world, all for using a cool BB app??? Can it get any better?
stubbornswiss Mar 20, 2010 at 9:54 am
For a company that only offers one product (please correct me if I'm wrong), and a relatively new one at that, this seems to be a very ambitious contest. We don't even see much larger, more established developers/companies offering such prizes.
I hate to say this, but to me this just looks like a marketing ploy, aimed at trying to gain attention to a utility that really doesn't have much to offer.
No, I wont be entering the contest, and good luck to those who do.
Just my 2 cents.
Rick-Segal Mar 21, 2010 at 11:55 am
It is marketing, yes, that's a given. Not sure of your point on comparing it to larger companies. Yes, we have other products currently in various states of Beta, design, etc, so we are growing.
Lots of folks find the product useful. Download the trial and send me a personal email with what you think, good and bad.

Support activated my account....wouldn't it be nice if every app had tech support like Fixmo where they actually respond when u have issues?!
daisydukesss Mar 21, 2010 at 1:47 pm
The concept sounds wonderful. Except, I can't use it :-( for some reason it doesn't work on my 9700. So I can't really give a more relevant feed back but I'd love a trip around the world :-) I think I deserve it haha

I want this please!
Panther_88 Mar 21, 2010 at 5:59 pm
Why are all of you saying Pick me..Pick me.....you need to actually do something to potentially win. Leaving a comment here isn't going to help you one bit. You need to spend time to download the app, try it, and leave feedback with all of your details. Sounds like a complete waste of time given the reviews this app is already getting. Sounds like the biggest bust yet for Crackberry...I bet Kevin doesn't even have this on his phone...even though it is a "must have".
wolman1234 Mar 22, 2010 at 2:44 am
Again, I Enter,
In Vain? I assume,
Time will tell.
Cheers!

Apparently I'm messed over from entering...I previously tried the free trial and it's expired so I can't send feedback even after reinstalling the app. >.<

AWESOME CONTEST, FIXMO!!! Thanks!
batrad Mar 22, 2010 at 9:50 am
Nice set of tools, most of them of no use to the average user..
But for an informed user, its like having a swiss army knife at your disposal when you are in the (concrete) jungle.
Had the oportunity to use the tools extensively while it was on Beta.
Could be cheaper..
Will be waiting for a 50% off sale before I plunge
