Read the reviews on this people. I love files and folders on the PB. But it just sucks on the BB10 I can't even run it, it crashes on Startup. They must fix this ASAP. If not I wasted money.
Innovatology Feb 12, 2013 at 7:26 pm
Remove and reinstall the app. And please use our support e-mail if you encounter such issues.
Couchpotato4life Feb 12, 2013 at 11:46 am
Great to see it there. One of my most used apps on the playbook. Will definitely be picking it up when I get a Z10.
scalemaster34 Feb 12, 2013 at 11:50 am
Agreed it is a MUST!
But I kinda hoped that it would be unnecessary on BB10. There should be a native app that allows you to search folders and view files of different types.
Steve Rizla Feb 12, 2013 at 12:02 pm
The native app which allows you to search and view files of different types is called "File Manager"
feldmen01 Feb 12, 2013 at 11:54 am
How is this different from the native file manager on the Z10?
Mezomish Feb 12, 2013 at 12:01 pm
How about "on top of that, you can access your Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Skydrive and SugarSync accounts too"? :)
DivideBYZero Feb 12, 2013 at 12:08 pm
You can use the in built file manager to work with Box and Dropbox, but I've already found it a bit buggy even with local files. I may give F&F a try.

Nice to see new apps still coming in. Just finished downloading about 12 new apps that are pertinent to me.....also, I just finished talking to our company's representative from Rogers. They have been able to only get us 4 Z10 phones thus far as they are selling them as fast as they arrive. They cannot keep them in stock. He asked if we would accept a few at a time so he could try to satisfy other backlogs. No problem for us as we get to test them out instead of a complete commitment corporately. Well thus far, no issues. I do miss my keypad though, although the touchpad is very powerful and intuitive. This phone is great and the OS is so smooth. I have not had one lock up/ crash etc. Have not even restarted my z10 yet. PS, everyone in the company wants one, and in time they all will.

Mid-March is the release time in our area....ahhh, the wait is bugging me! :)

Files & Folders is an app I really enjoy and although I don't have the BBZ10, I am probably going to re-purchase this app. I already have it on my Playbook and it works well.
The improvement that I am hoping that will be available in the app for the Z10 phone, is the stable ability to email files and post files to Facebook or Pinterest. This would be a great improvement.
Thank you.

Just a question... but all my playbook app's I've purchased with my BBID ... when I use the same ID on BB10... will it not work on my phone also? as I had two playbooks for a time (16gig and 64gig) they used the same BBID and I could have my app's on both tablets.
Just a question... b/c the playbook and bb10 are going to be my own devices with the same ID.
Thanks
rajdeep.malhi Feb 12, 2013 at 12:41 pm
it depends on the developer. Some developers are allowing you to download your playbook apps on your bb10 while some aren't because they built the app from the ground up. and in this case.
I believe you will not be able to download it because this was built from the ground up so unfortunately, you will have to buy it again.

Go vote for the Z10, keep the heat on

I bought this app on my Playbook, will I get it for free on BBWorld for the Z10?
QuIcKsIlV3r Feb 12, 2013 at 12:29 pm
nope.... I have it too for my pb and it's $1.99 in BBWorld for the Z10
bradfordjohnson Feb 12, 2013 at 12:28 pm
So if you've paid $2.99 for it on your Playbook you also have to pay $1.99 for it on your Z10? That seems flawed and just ammo for Apple to hit back about having to purchase twice.
xtremesniper Feb 12, 2013 at 1:17 pm
It's up to the developer. BlackBerry allows one app to be available for multiple platforms.
Rab1969 Feb 12, 2013 at 12:32 pm
I've just read a tweet from @BlackBerry4Biz with this link to Box 10GB storage free http://t.co/hRm6xvro
Better than Dropbox 2GB free
mcman_69 Feb 12, 2013 at 2:27 pm
I'll one up you, here's a link for 50GB with Box
https://www.box.com/signup/o/dell_50gb_give_get
BigD89 Feb 12, 2013 at 11:34 pm
Wow, thanks for the link mcman_69! If you're Canadian, Dell and Fongo teamed up to give free VOIP service. I have the app on my 9800.
rajdeep.malhi Feb 12, 2013 at 12:36 pm
where is Skype for Android and Whatsapp!!! It's still not on the market!
ubermanx Feb 12, 2013 at 1:17 pm
Ask Skype and Whatsapp why they are not on the market.
mnc76 Feb 12, 2013 at 3:26 pm
+1 I always see comments for apps on BlackBerry App World like "I don't like this app. C'mon RIM, learn to write better apps!!".
They think RIM writes every app on App World! Do they think Microsoft writes every Windows program? Do they think FireFox designs and codes every website on the internet???
Geeeze...
rcab Feb 12, 2013 at 12:45 pm
yesterday here on CB they said that this is a new version and so they have to charge Playbook owners again. I asked question if we will have to pay a third time when BB 10 comes to the Playbook but have not seen if there was any reply to my question.
joickle Feb 12, 2013 at 12:51 pm
I have this on my PlayBook, but I don't need it on my Z10 because the built in file manager is awesome, huge improvement over the pb! :-)
tfp Feb 12, 2013 at 1:08 pm
Agreed! I love it on my PlayBook but seeing as my PlayBook is always within 30 seconds of me, do I really need it on my Z10? The File Manager is fantastic for me on my Z10 and supports Box and DropBox so I'd only be using Files and Folders for SkyDrive.
ubermanx Feb 12, 2013 at 1:15 pm
Crash crash and more crash. Won't even start on my Z10. Opens and immediately closes.
Innovatology Feb 12, 2013 at 7:31 pm
Try uninstalling and reinstalling. And remember you can always e-mail us if you encounter such issues.
Adam Bremner1 Feb 12, 2013 at 4:07 pm
What's the deal?! I own this app and it's trying to get me to pay for it again on BB10!
Innovatology Feb 12, 2013 at 7:48 pm
If you encounter issues, PLEASE let us know by e-mail so we can troubleshoot.
Rub3n5 Feb 13, 2013 at 1:53 pm
The recommendation above from Innovatology is to reinstall. But if this is brand new to BB10, then not sure how a reinstall can fix it as new people are reporting crashing. They obviously didn't upgrade from a previous version and were installing fresh.
Based on the really bad reviews, I think I'll hold off on this for now...
Innovatology Feb 14, 2013 at 6:43 am
It looks like sometimes the installation by BlackBerry World is incomplete/damaged, even for new installs. RIM is investigating the issue.
sklotz2000 Mar 29, 2013 at 9:44 pm
@Innovatology,
Has there been success with getting this resolved?
I attempted to install it from BlackBerry World, but it looks like it's been pulled down.
I use this on my PB all the time and have become addicted to it. :)
