Well that sure didn't take long, the device has yet to even hit the market, and the fakes are already rolling around. Above is a fake BlackBerry Bold 9900 that was found in a store in Dubai called Dragon Market, and at first glance it would be kind of hard to even tell it is a fake. The device is running a price tag of an impressive $100, but who knows just how many years they want to lock you in for. One more picture after the break.

that country has got money but no one can ever buy brain they are still in the last century with brains So, no one will ever shut that shop or even ask the shop to remove the product
I am still fairly certain that Kevin and maybe 6 other people are the only ones that still have excitement over getting these new phones.
BlackBerry user for years, and plan to be one as long as possible. Just my opinion that there is next to nothing to be excited about over these phones that if released 13 months ago maybe would have been competitive.

If they are fakes then the guts are second rate at best or even worse.
Dragon Market is a place full of chinese imports, something like China town. everyone knows that place has fake stuff. plus, 100$ is an impossible price for an off contract phone so, no, no one will be fooled by it unless theyre ridiculously desperate or stupid lol
at best its gonna serve as a trick that "hey i got the bold 9900" lol
All these phones and similar fakes come from China to dubai, other Middle east countries, India, etc and nobody can do anything about it...
DragonMart (not Market) is not a store. Located in the outer rim territories of the Dubai system, it is a huge mall complex dedicated to the wonderful back alley Shenzhen made goods we all know and love. And by goods I mean literally anything. And by anything I mean cheap boats and motorcycles.
Also, you won't find mobile phones being sold there on contract. And if there were, they'd be written in Chinese and would require a signature prior to reading. Otherwise, $100 is all you're going to pay for this quarity handset.
BB9900 has been available for sale in Dubai since 31st July. Its the real deal. Its being sold for approximately US$1370/- in the grey market.

think of it this way in the time it takes rim to bring a phone to market from being announced a smaller company can design make probably test and bring to market a fake lookalike phone. what does this show you about rim?
Is says that RIM wants to get it right and put out a quality product while this knock-off company doesn't care because their name isn't on the product so no bad press will hit them

Surely a chinese pirating-product... But nothing will happen! China is the greatest creditor of the USA...and in the case of TO intensive interventions of the USA against industrial espionage of china the money supply will cut off... :-)
