grabbing the update now... shouldn't be much different than the beta
MaxPayne79 Dec 5, 2012 at 1:13 pm
hopefully it'll actually work Unlike the beta.
jordandrews90 Dec 5, 2012 at 9:25 am
I've been using the beta for a while i still can't figure out what the bbm integration is, anyone help me out?
ChibiBlackSheep Dec 5, 2012 at 10:02 am
You can set it up so that your status on Facebook updates your BBM status, and it can add your BBM PIN to Facebook About Section (next to Screen Names)

I was very happy with the last beta, 3.3.0.9 so I'm expecting good things from this official version. Downloaded and rebooting now.

I wish they would update GTALK and fix up that sh*tshow of a program. used to work flawlessly until the last "upgrade" !
BigAssBitchin Dec 5, 2012 at 9:59 am
What's wrong with GTALK? It's working just fine, as it always has, for me?
yunvi Dec 5, 2012 at 10:25 am
you should count your luck stars then. for the general populace, it signs us out randomly, i dont receive messages sometimes, and my friends dont receive my messages sometimes...its brutal!
sk8er_tor Dec 5, 2012 at 10:46 am
At least BlackBerry has a Google Talk app. Try looking for a Google Talk app in the Apple App Store. You won't find one. The only thing you'll see are third party apps that either don't work or add advertisements to the chat.
Although I do encounter the lost connection problem, I've never lost any messages. You should check with whoever you're chatting with because it's probably their app that's losing/not sending the messages.
BigAssBitchin Dec 5, 2012 at 10:56 am
That sucks! Only got signed out twice so I didn't count that as problematic. I have to admit I don't use it on a daily basis, so my experience with GTALK is probably more limited compared to yours. Hope they continue GTALK with BBOS10 though..
The Me Dec 5, 2012 at 2:24 pm
I always check the app to find out that it signed me out. Also, since it shows me as online but when I open it and it syncs it shows errors, whatever messages were sent within that time are gone. I can't go and check the history each time!
Used to work flawlessly until the last few updates.
*sigh*

Agreed, Gtalk has never been reliable for me, I'd often check back and find at some point I had lost connection with the server.
rjkolo Dec 5, 2012 at 10:05 am
Not available for me yet on my 9810 on ATT in the US...I will wait patiently for it....
sk8er_tor Dec 5, 2012 at 10:54 am
Try downloading it through your web browser by going to www.blackberry.com/facebook
mrtouchedme Dec 5, 2012 at 11:13 am
Alt + rst and it has come right up for all my friends on at&t, vzw, or sprint
sk8er_tor Dec 5, 2012 at 10:59 am
I like the new UI. It's not much different but it's definitely cleaner looking.
carriv Dec 5, 2012 at 11:13 am
I too have ATT but managed to download it through the Facebook app.
Step 1: go to Facebook app
Step 2: hit menu button
Step 3: look for options and scroll to bottom of options menu and click on CHECK FOR UPGRADE NOW
Step 4: when it takes you to a webpage just scroll down and click on the second tab (the one that suggest you click on if you dont have App World on your device)

Thank ya! It worked like a charm.
MsCam Dec 5, 2012 at 11:20 am
you can upgrade via the Blackberry appworld website online if you are unable to see the upgrade on your device.
meganVee Dec 5, 2012 at 12:38 pm
Does it give you the option to share things from the app and the ability to save pictures?
These are things that really need to be added to the app seeing how it can be done with Android and iOS.
Will upgrade but just saying I hope they included those few things... As well they better be included in the Facebook app on BB10.
wickednoize Dec 5, 2012 at 1:28 pm
The new update is good, had it for sometime on the beta. It sure is a good change from the old interface.
bmercer94 Dec 5, 2012 at 1:55 pm
another direct OTA link for those that can't find it on AppWorld: http://goo.gl/qCNLY
meganVee Dec 5, 2012 at 3:54 pm
Also, I would hope they add the ability to tag people in posts.
meganVee Dec 5, 2012 at 4:31 pm
I see the option to save a photo is there which is great.
I see I can tag people on my status.
But still unable to tag in a comment or on a page/group.

ferre_kun Dec 6, 2012 at 12:17 am
fresh look, it's nice. but RIM still have lots to fix on their fb app. i'm still waiting for them to fix the share and the tag function (the current share function only put plain text writings, not like when you share using sharing apps like hootsuite, dlvr.it etc. current tag function doesn't tag people inside the status update, it's just the same like when you check in to places). need to have auto parse links we put on status updates too. need to add fanpage admin access, and please fix the blackberry app on fb so it can show again the blackberry logo on the timeline when we update status from blackberry and not only on newsfeed, etc. they still have lots to fix..
mcpinky Dec 6, 2012 at 1:13 pm

Bobcat665 Dec 6, 2012 at 7:48 pm

Rootbrian Dec 7, 2012 at 2:48 pm

birdman_38 Dec 11, 2012 at 8:25 am
Who cares?
wickednoize Dec 7, 2012 at 4:15 pm
Ok so here's what this new FB update does. I run multiple apps on my phone and all's good until I open FB to update status or read the newsfeed and within few mins the whole phone hangs and I need to reset the phone everytime I access facebook. And looks like it's not just me but even my friends have the same issue. This is killing me, please fix this asap meanwhile I will go back to the previous version , sadly.
jumper212 Dec 7, 2012 at 6:00 pm

ksmui Dec 9, 2012 at 2:58 am
Be sure to back up first...during install I lost all of my calendar entries :(
LPhelps22 Dec 10, 2012 at 2:26 pm
How do I download the old version of fb? This new version is a complete mess!
It deleted my calendar, won't disable the email notification feature, slows down my phone--yeah
I'm done. I just wish I had never downloaded it at all. I did it through blackberry world too, but still got all the bugs. So can someone help me get the prior version??
PBRCowgirl1 Dec 20, 2012 at 6:49 pm
The new app will let me do everything...except look at my news feed!!! Gives me error message 2001. server problem? I can go to my friends page, my profile page, get my notifications & PM's....but it won't bring up the home screen news feed. WTH?!

I have observed, recently, that everything that I was posting to Facebook from my BlackBerry (especially uploaded photos) was having the default privacy settings set to "Only Me".
This became quite annoying, as the only way to make my posts visible to my Facebook friends was to log in from my PC and change the privacy settings.
Then, I went to the Facebook App settings, and saw the following message: "Old versions of Facebook for mobile: This setting controls the privacy of things you post using old Facebook mobile apps that do not have the inline audience selector, such as outdated versions of Facebook for BlackBerry." This was having the privacy settings set to "Only Me".
Seems like Facebook is considering us, the BlackBerry users, "outdated".
