*UPDATE* - RIM has now released another update as well, bumping Facebook for PlayBook up to v2.2.1.7

Coming along for the ride with PlayBook OS 2.0 is the latest update to Facebook for PlayBook. With this release we get a jump up to v2.2.0.39 and it brings along mostly bug fixes for PlayBook OS 2.0 compatibility along with support for the new keyboard functions in 2.0. If you're a Facebook fan, make sure you grab the latest update if you haven't already. Ps: If you installed PlayBook OS 2.0, it came with the update -- there is no need to update.

It is fully compatible with the keyboard. It is the only thing I see so far.

I just happened to open up App World (again for the umpteenth time today) and I got an FB update to 2.2.1.7 now.

Same here, I had 2.2.0.39 before today.

So does that mean that they are rolling out another update. Because with 2.0 includes 2.2.0.39

but 2.2.1.7 is higher then what comes with os 2.0.

i didn't get this update....

Mine says that there is an update available, but all I'm seeing is the 2.1.036 version that I have always had???

sk8er_tor Feb 21, 2012 at 11:13 am

That usually means the update is rolling out and you should see it soon.

2.2.1.7 just came out. i updated this morning to 0.39, it will make its way around. you have to remember there are a lot of things going on right now in the Blackberry World.

I deleted the Facebook app, then re-installed as it kept throwing up errors. As soon as I had re-installed, went into App World and the update was ready to download, now on 2.2.1.7.
Geo-location still does not work, everything else seems OK

I'm little disappointed to see new Facebook still don't support Unicode. I'm happy at least Browser support it.

I have the latest updates and since then Chat keeps disconnecting, I have to log off and then come in again. It will do it again in less than 2 minutes. They can bring out a new BB phone but cannot fix what is already out there. It will be a long time before I buy another BB product.
