The latest Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones has been made available through BlackBerry App World. This version, is just basically the 'approved' version of what was in the BlackBerry Beta Zone as v2.0.0.55. In other words, while version number has jumped to v2.0.0.58 -- nothing new has been added as it is just a maintenance release. Not seeing it yet? It's ok -- just wait a little bit long or refresh your apps list, it will be along shortly.
Nice to have the updated app released.
Hope they have fixed the push facebook messages problems.
New version should add multiple accounts like twitter lol :p

Try the fb messenger app. Works great for pushing chat and messaged to your phone.

Seems to be working great. Speed it great. I still wish they had a calender option like they do for the andriod version.

Honestly, I haven't noticed any improvements when I dl'd the .55 beta. Messages still get no notifications, the notifications still do not always appear in the notification bar. Really don't know what they "fixed".
Facebook itself needs to be fixed. I get updates on my phone that I don't see on the web page and vice versa.
Yeah, I had to do "check for updates" within Facebook. Then I had to use the download version for users who don't have BBerry App Store because it still wasn't showing up as an update in App World throught he FB App World link.
Dude, all these freakin updates and STILL I cannot like comments. Whyy?

not available through Blackberry App world in Srilanka , however i had to check for updates in the Facebook App ,and upgrade it . Little strange that RIM forgot about a update prompt within the FB app whenever there is one available.
Trust they add this to the exciting new OS update.......

Did they fix the notification problem? The one where the notifications would show even with them disabled? I really don't want Facebook notifications on my phone and I just uninstalled the previous facebook app because of them.
man i dont know but i never seem to get new inbox notification and i dont even know if i get new msg or not and sometimes chat dont work to properly.. i hope they have fixed all that in the update.. i actually rely on the web facebook on the browser more then the actual app
Download the facebook messenger app put out by facebook. Yeah its a separate app just for messages, but it works. Facebook made some changes to its messages service so that chat/messages could be integrated. I'm pretty sure that's where the problem started.
9930 on Verizon and the only option is the 2.0.0.50 , does not give you the option even in the application to upgrade. It takes you back to App World and no upgrade available.
I installed the 2.0.0.58 update on my VZW 9930 today, was notified by App World about it, downloaded and installed from there, it's working great! Seems to have fixed the notification problems.
I wonder if i would notice any fb-update without cb.... thx
I'm on 9700 with 6.0.0.615 new bastard hybrid and with this release I have some problem with the cursor on scrolling...like the early releases of bbm on os6.... :(
I cannot get it to work over my GSM Cellular network..............it works fone over wi-fi........but not on the network. SIGH! Anyone know how/where I can get the previous version?
New problem just started on my Blackberry . When I go to Facebook App and retreive a message that a group has a post and then go to open and view the group That I Have rights to I get a error that says The Page you requested was not found. I can view It if I go though the web browser on the blackberry or my PC just not the app 2.0.0.58. any one else having tis same problem?
Yes, I have just started having that issue too! It started a week or so ago. Actually started about the same time that I wasn't able to upload photos to Facebook via blackberry anymore. I have temporarily fixed that issue though. I can access the groups from my iPad and pc Facebook though.
I too am having the same problem as radio430. I either get Page you requested is not found OR The Group Cannot be Accessed. This behavior started immediately upon upgrading to .58 Since most of my communications happen in groups and I am relying more on my Blackberry rather than PC (and I don't have a pad of any sort) this makes FB all but useless on my phone. Help! Please! Can I roll back to a previous version? Thanks!
