Keep the updates coming! Good to see Events coming soon.
Kandoo-BB Jul 4, 2012 at 4:03 pm
events is here in this version.
slagman5 Jul 4, 2012 at 9:07 pm
No it's not, unless you count Birthdays as events. I think he means be able to actually see the comments and other things being posted in events you're going to. It's still not there, I checked. It has the button for it, but when you click it, it just shows you everyone's birthdays. If you get a notification of a message in the event, it brings you to the same summary page and you still have to click "View Event" that just opens it up in your browser to view the comments.

Wow for a company on its death bed, they sure are kicking out alot of updates. I was also told by BlackBerry dev on twitter today that the dev alpha update is in final testing and infrastructure is preparing for the update. BB10 FTW!!

upgraded to new bugs ;) when backing out of the app it stays running in the background unlike before and that would close app ... you now need to use menu key and close to exit app.
Wazzy9 Jul 4, 2012 at 2:32 pm
That bug was always there, it cannot be closing if you're trying to load something (like scroll down or load somebody's wall) once everything is done loading the app closes as soon as you hit the back button.
Wazzy9 Jul 4, 2012 at 2:26 pm
Yay for Events and Birthdays! Still hate the scrolling issue in every version, but hey as long as the updates keep comin' I'll be satisfied.
curvezzz Jul 4, 2012 at 2:28 pm
How about unfrending from the app?!

+1 billion!! Facebook has made it impossible to unfriend multiple people.
If rim could make this happen it would be the best facebook app period on any platform.
WoW rim is come a long way
ferre_kun Jul 4, 2012 at 3:29 pm
they still have long way to go on this one. i have long list of what they should fix but mainly, i need a fix on tagging people on status updates. not like what it is now (which is the same as tagging when checking in to places), i need to be able to tag @someone inside my updates, not updating my status then tag it as -with @someone. and the way to share other people/new's updates (not only plain links).
oh, and they need to put the blackberry logo on timeline, after fb update to timeline, the blackberry logo changed into plain "via BlackBerry Smartphones App" text whenever we update status.
Kandoo-BB Jul 4, 2012 at 4:09 pm
really? didnt notice that! that sux!!!
although im sure rim has no control over that!!!
velociraptor89 Jul 5, 2012 at 1:42 am
It's a facebook's timeline issue, it is the same with other "via apps" e.g. instagram. On news feeds there's still that logo.
Don't mess with raptors.

ssbtech Jul 4, 2012 at 5:12 pm
Has the notification bug fixed yet?
rkopsie Jul 4, 2012 at 5:54 pm
Hope this fixes the BUG where I'm ALWAYS logged out after rebooting my phone!
TheDeej Jul 4, 2012 at 6:27 pm

xraytid Jul 4, 2012 at 8:31 pm
Even though it is LIGHTYEARS behind the facebook app for my EVO 4G LTE I still find myself using the BlackBerry app more
Ratcat Jul 6, 2012 at 8:06 pm
To bad it breaks facebook notifications. They no longer work.
ssbtech Jul 6, 2012 at 9:43 pm
They never worked properly anyway - it was always telling me I had notifications when I didn't, and despite disabling the notifications in Facebook, the notifications persisted. It was so annoying I had to uninstall it.
I really couldn't care less that a friend's friend who I don't know commended on a status update. I care even less for having that notification pushed to my phone.
