Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones updated to version 3.1.0.16 in the BlackBerry Beta Zone

Adam, please keep in mind that unfortunately the Beta Zone is not available to all the countries in the World, such as Portugal, which is the one I live in...

These are some much needed bug fixes. Still waiting on Events though. (Can't believe we got groups before events)

Yeaah..would like to have a cover photo showing in the bacKground of a user.. & ability to post & view groups and manage Pages using the app instead of been sent to the mobile version.

Least I appear to be getting my notifications again (except, still, for messages!). I think all the behind the curtain stuff FB has being doing messed up the previous beta version.

If you open FB on the device simulators on a PC, after 20 minutes if you go to the Notifications tab, the simulator will freeze and has to be closed!

Also on the devices, if you go into an album with 200 pictures or more to see a picture, it won't load!

And I can't download,it says something about export regulations.

Any news (or vague baseless rumours) about when the Playbook might get an update for it's Facebook app? The Android port blows it out of the water for functionality but oh, those tiny link buttons...

If a post to a group fails the resend from notification does not resend
Group icons do not match the icons that are displayed on the Facebook website
Opening Groups from the Navigation Grid multiple times opens multiple Group list screens
Facebook notification did not show on device today view after SIMs swapping
Did not get event invitation push notification
Likes count incorrect in Likes list if launched from stagnant comment screen
Likes and comment numbers of Group wall post did not persist after reopening the Group profile
Likes on picture does not always appear when accessing posts from message inbox notification of likes
Page profile is treated as non-friend profile in people like list
"Disable Public Photo Sharing" IT policy did not apply if user uploading photo from media app
"View null's Profile"/"View Photos of null" when invoking GCM or BB menu on a Group photo
Hindi EULA appears to be missing the first paragraph (possibly more)

I signed up for this beta program (Facebook) this morning....but until now, 7 hours later, i still don't have the OTA download. Anybody knows how i should get the OTA update?

The News Feed in the beta version seem jumping in sequence (when compare to the pc sequence) and sometimes not even appear...
No file attachment to be included in the Messages.

Still bummed about no Events. Groups???

Is it just me who wants to be able to 'mention' existing Facebook friends's name within a status update or comment so that his/her name pops up to select and eventually becomes a link to their profile and they get notified?? i mean while using fb on the PC as soon as you type @jim you immediately get a list of your existing friends to choose from whose name begins with jim... Then I select his name and he too gets notified that I have mentioned him in a status update or comment.... for example i might want to say...

'Had a great time meeting my old friend @Jim (at this point it pops up to list of people in my friends list with the name jim and the i select Jim Balsille :-) Ha Ha...) for lunch during my trip to Waterloo"

The current way of tagging saying 'with somebody' doesn't do full justice...
