If you've been looking for a way to upgrade your IT infrastructure from an ancient BES 5 or other MDM system, you're in luck: BES10 EZ Pass is now available. The migration tool, announced late in February, is intended to make it easier to move from both the older BES5 mobile device management system as well as from competing MDM suits like Good, MobileIron, and AirWatch.
EZ Pass is a free tool, though of course BlackBerry's goal is to move you to the modern BES10 and its newer pricing structure. The two tiers for BES10, silver and gold, offer full device, app, and security management for BlackBerry 10 devices, while Gold expands support for the containerized Secure Work Space for iOS and Android.
In addition to a free upgrade to BES10, EZ Pass also includes a guaranteed upgrade to BES12 when it comes later in this year.
