If you frequent using Evernote on your BlackBerry PlayBook, you'll want to go ahead and check for updates when you get a chance. Evernote for PlayBook has been updated from v1.1.1 to v1.2 in BlackBerry App World and is now available for download.
Sadly, Evernote has been slacking when it comes to change logs being put in the descriptions -- so you'll have to dig through the app itself in order to find out what improvements have been made. If you spot anything, let us know in the comments though with it being the same size as the last version, could just be bug fixes.

The biggest update I'm looking for is offline access to notes. Sadly, it's still missing.

Posting here that you want off-line access is ok, but I recommend you go to the Evernote forum for BB and post your desires on their site. I just did. The more they hear to more likely they will provide this feature.
Off-line access is one feature I would upgrade from free to licensed to have, since it works so well on my other devices.

The lack of a change log may not be Evernote's fault. App World approval of description changes and app updates are handled independantly - developers cannot ensure both are published at the same time.

It seems faster to me.

Offline access is the most important criteria .

I would like to be able to import notes from my memopad.

Damn.....I was looking for it to support portrait mode and offline access. Those updates don't address my biggest issues with Evernote.

I'll toss in another vote for offline notes and portrait mode. But I am grateful we at least have an app for the PlayBook.

Meh, download the android version its 100 times better.

If you are on the 2.0 beta, I would recommend the Android version. There is some funkiness with the editor, but there some serious positives. The landing page for the app shows your most recently edited note in a calendar view, you are not constrained to plain text notes, plus, my subscription lets me sync my Notes to the PlayBook, which is great when I'm disconnected.

I noticed picking spots between letters is much easier and the blue handles don't show-up.

Oh no, no offline access to notes? Man, they must add that before I bother running it
