Over the year the years, there have been numerous items I have loaned out. Be it money, books, household items, or various other gadgets or gizmos distributed amongst friends, family or neighbors, there are certain things you do need to keep track of. Last time we took a look at EvenSteven in the roundup it was a free ledger application with a basic UI that tracked funds lent and borrowed.
Since then, the developer split the application in two. A free version with limited features, now called EvenSteven One, and the premium version for $0.99 called EvenSteven. The free version limits entries recorded to one friend only, while the paid version allows for entries involving as many friends as you want, the ability to color code each person, and the option to export and email the ledger.
Using the application is quite simple. All you have to tap on the appropriate column (Lend or Borrow) and input the amount in whole dollars and a brief description of what it is for. Tapping on each entry presents the option to delete or you can erase the database using the clear ledger button at the bottom. Tapping on the name in the bottom left hand corner will bring you to all of your friends' entries if you are on the premium version.
The developer is giving away 300 copies of the premium version for free to our readers. Before they run out, follow the instructions and enter in the promotion code listed. If you are the type of person who frequently lends to other individuals, this is a quick and useful way of tracking those transactions.
