Dig post-apocalyptic robot combat games? If so, it's time to fire up BlackBerry World and grab the latest hot game to arrive. Coming from from Uppercut Games, EPOCH is now available for BlackBerry 10. If you're not familiar with the game, you get to play as a long dormant robot soldier who wakes up and finds the city destroyed and you must now fight for your survival. It's pretty intense and the graphics are powered by the Unreal 3 engine.

  • Unravel the mystery - Follow the echoes of a lost civilization in a visually-stunning post-apocalyptic world where only robots survive to fight a never-ending war. Fight towards your goal and piece together the fragments to reveal exactly what happened when the old world ended. Is this the dawn of a new Epoch? And how can you find the one person you were originally assigned to protect
  • Choreograph the action - Control your character with intuitive finger swipes. Make split-second tactical decisions, take cover, select targets, dodge incoming fire, utilize special abilities, and launch countermeasures!
  • Destroy, Salvage and Upgrade - Battle escalating waves of robots in arena-style combat, and upgrade yourself with pieces torn from your fallen enemies! Configure your robot with dozens of weapons, armors, boosters and counters.
  • Immersive Single Player Campaign - Fight in multiple locations across a vast and ravaged city, and gather fragments of the past with logs from a cast of characters, each with their own perspective on the apocalyptic events that destroyed a once-proud civilization.
  • Stunning AAA Visuals - Utilize the enhanced visual capabilities of next gen Blackberry devices with high-resolution graphics powered by the Unreal Engine!

EPOCH is priced at $2.99 but it's only available for the BlackBerry Z10 and the freshly announced BlackBerry Z30. If you're not set on laying down the cash, check out the game trailer above to see it in action.

EPOCH arrives in BlackBerry World for BlackBerry 10

Such a small "Purchase/download Epoch" link at the bottom of the article, on CB10 app at least. Is there any way to fix that, Bla1ze?

It seems to me that whoever is in charge of BlackBerry's gaming department should also take over the apps department. There's a lot of great games on BlackBerry 10 but unfortunately that can't be said about apps.

Because games don't have to adhere to the interface of the system they are on. They implement their own gui elements separately while apps need to blend in.

That makes them much more portable.

This is a 2 years old game...I had it when I was on the iPhone 4 the day of release !! Sorry but I'm not paying for that ! Rip of ! At least if it was a sequel.

Rip of? Of what? I'm thinking you might of meant rip off. But then again, how's it a rip off?

This is a fair complaint for folks that are coming from iOS and, to a lesser extent, Android. A lot of the stuff coming to BB10 you might have already played, but for the vast majority of BB10 users who have stuck around since BB7 or earlier, this is all new. Being old only makes a game less fun if it's already been played; it's not like there's a huge gap in graphical quality, anyway.

Awesome game. Played it on my ipod touch before. Good job BlackBerry. Maybe infinity blade is coming soon. :p

Looks awesome! Unfortunately, I rarely have Wifi access because of my work. I wish BlackBerry World didn't require it for large downloads.

So the unreal engine can run on BB10? I would like to see WB and NetherRealm bring Injustice God's Among Us to BB10

I was sooooooo disappointed in that game, if you could even call it a game. Wasn't too impressed with the console version either.
