Like a bit of showbiz gossip? Check out Entertainment News for BlackBerry 10

By James Richardson on 20 Jun 2013 03:29 am EDT

If you like to keep up to date with all that's going on in the world of showbiz then you may want to grab (for free) Entertainment News for your BlackBerry Z10, Q10 or Q5. Entertainment News have been providing online news in the UK for sixteen years now and they have taken advantage of the App Generator and created a very informative showbiz app.

It isn't just written news within the app but video too. As things stand currently there is a limit to the number of videos and articles that can be published daily using an App Generator application, however I know for a fact that Entertainment News are talking with the Mippin guys to try and get more video content uploaded each day and in landscape mode, which is currently restricted. At the moment the application is updated hourly within UK business hours but that is hopefully set to change further down the line.

With the ability to share articles via any account within your BlackBerry Hub you can also keep your friends up to date with the latest news - a great standard feature with the App Generator. Sometimes, it's not always the snazzy graphics and swipes with an app in my opinion - it's providing quality content and that's here with Entertainment News.

If you like to keep up with what the likes of celebs, bands, movie stars, and more are up to then I can highly recommend Entertainment News. It's staying on my BlackBerry that's for sure - not that I'm nosey or anything!

I'll have it check it out, thanks.

Speaking of celebs, RIP James Gandolfini.

Yet another app to try.

Wait. Native. Cool. Staying on phone. Uhm CNN take cue. Native. Native. Native. Not crappy android port only for USA. :).

What a different performance of native apps, like it should always be... love when apps have active frame when minimized...

LOL even cascades app generated are better than most apps on other platforms.

Good app. A little British centered but I can live with it for now.

Exactly. America is where it's at. I will wait for a TMZ-esque app before considering a download.
