Long time readers of any and all of our Mobile Nations sites will remember the Smartphone Round Robin. It was a cross-site editorial event where we took a break from our regular day to day beat, swapped phones, and sounded off on the competition in an unbiased fashion.

It was a great event, we loved it, you loved it, and you've been bugging us literally daily to do it up again. And we have been listening. It's coming. And soon! We have re-envisioned the event, bigger and better and more suitable to the state of mobile in 2013, and we're going beyond our in-house team this time around. Hit up the video above to get a gander at our awesome hosts! :)

This week you'll see less blogging from our EiCs as we're in NYC doing a bunch of grunt work in prep for the event that will unfold online. If you want more, follow me, Kevin Michaluk of CrackBerry, as well as Phil Nickinson of Android Central, Rene Ritchie of iMore, and Daniel Rubino of Windows Phone Central, are joined by John P and Cali Lewis of Geek Beat and we'll drop more hints throughout the week.

Ok, that's it. I've already said too much. Stay tuned tuned to all of our sites, follow us on Twitter and G+, and look out for #TM13 for more!

Hi Kevin, your link to your twitter takes you to @kevinmichaluk not @crackberrykevin. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys have cooking!

Just out of curiosity, Kevin. Do you know which of the mobile nations sites has the largest following? I just can't imagine the our brothers and sisters on the other teams are as big as team Crackberry. That you are the most influential site on all things BlackBerry (perhaps even more than the company itself) speaks volumes.

I'm extremely new to the CrackBerry forums. I can't wait to find out more about this event. Keep up the great work!

I'm addicted to my Z10.

Hey Crackberry how comes some of the imbedded videos dont show up on our Playbooks. For me its hit or miss so i have to resort to going to Youtube and find the video to watch it there. This particular video i'm having a hard time locating on youtube.

How about including the "view on youtube" link like you have for the phones. My other option is to open crackberry on my 9900 then "view on Playbook" the video and watch it that way??

It's youtube (google) that went evil and is blocking videos from showing up on devices that don't have flash player. Google's being adobe's bitch. :(

I like how these four characterise their mobile platform. iOS takes the lead of the conversation but after that just desperately wants to add something and does not succeed. Android, the one who just sums up everything in a clever way. Blackberry overlooks and stears the conversation in the right direction. And Windows Phone just lays back and adds style to the hole thing.

I think i know what they're referring to

TM13 Ice Beam
Type Ice
Power 95
Accuracy 100%
Effect Has a 10% chance to freeze the target.

If you are new to CrackBerry, Stay put, is a cool place to hang around. You will learn a lot if you love BlackBerry phones. Lots of fun. :)
