e-GPS Lets You Remotely Track & Wipe Your Device

If you worry about your device being lost or stolen you're not alone. Your BlackBerry has precious info that you just can't afford to lose. e-GPS will help ease your anxiety with some very cool remote features. The app works much the same as Smrtguard, allowing you to easily wipe or track the device and email data to yourself. You simply send a command via SMS or email, and the device will perform any number of features. You can use it to locate you device if lost around town or just in the couch cushions. A very cool alternative to some other feature rich applications. e-GPS sells for a one-time fee of $4.99 in the CrackBerry App Store. *As a special, the first 200 users to purchase e-GPS will receive a $1 off coupon that can be used on any Elecite theme.*

Contest: We have 50 free copies of e-GPS to give away. Just leave a comment on this post to be entered. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries won't count.

e-GPS Lets You Remotely Track & Wipe Your Device

I've been waiting for another alternative that didn't involve a subscription!!!

I'm going to wait to to see if I win before I purchase. :)

I have so much on my BB...would hate to think it was lost and in the hands of an evil-dooer! Please slide a free copy my way! Thanks!

I have a knack for losing my blackberries or having them stolen… I REALLLY need this app! Please let me win!

No more searching for my lost phone. This thing is my lifeline and yet I always misplace it. This would be a cool app to have.

Now if we can only take care of the lost tv remote problem I'd be set!!!

This app would be great. Since I am a college student and the risk of this happening grows daily, this app would be great for me. I have lo-jack on my laptop, but this would be a great addition to protect my even more precious Blackberry.

I'd love a free copy. Even if I had to buy it it sounds like a great deal for the peace of mind.

I lost my phone in the couch (ended up buying a new before i found it). This app could save us all some money.

This sounds interesting, can't wait to try it out. I have had lost a few cell phones before but I can't manage to lose my Storm.

Hope I win, this would be a great app to have as a backup, but you hope never to use, unless I misplace my phone and need to locate it.

I would love this app mainly for the alert feature. I don't think I can wait til Sunday to find out if I won. I might buy it right now

Especially working as a paramedic! There have been times my phone was knocked off my belt on an accident scene and I wasn't able to find it later. This would be perfect.

Great alternative and I appreciate the one time pricing!!! e-GPS will probably outdo the higher priced competitior.

I saw $4.99 less $1 and that was nice. Now free...I could certainly go for free.

Edit: hah. still tired. Guess it's just 4.99 less $1 on the themes.

Since I mostly use my BlackBerry for business, this would be a wonderful app should I misplace it or otherwise lose it. Also wouldn't hurt to help me find the phone when I've lost it somewhere in the house...

If this is actually better than smrtguard, as it appears to not be bogged down by a slew of extra (and perhaps unnecessary) features.

Something I could use not only for safety of personal information stored but my memory sometimes fails me where I leave items.

If it is stolen will the perpetrator hear a message that says "this blackberry will self destruct in 10..9..8..7"
Just a thought. Looks like a good buy, hope i win it first.

* STICKS TONGUE OUT * The University of cincinnati Bearcats are the BEST Football team in OHIO ! ! ! PERIOD ! ! !

I REALLY could use this application. I can't tell you how many times I nearly lost it because I couldn't find my BlackBerry. At some point, this software can come in VERY handy.

This is definitely needed. My supervisor had his phone stolen and lost all his info, contacts, etc. He didn't have a berry either though, lol. This just makes berries that much better. Awesome.

to win a free copy of this and save myself the panic I experienced recently when I thought I had lost my 8900. Thanks Crackberry!

can you send these commands from any number you could make your friends really mad if you knew their pin and sent wipexxxx just sayin other than that really cool

I'd log in from my BB but it's currently lost. Once found, I'd love to install e-GPS on it so it doesn't happen again!

I assume GPS needs to be turned on all the time.....Otherwise you wouldn't track it if lost, right?

Just to bad, as with all the other contests that i have entered, will not win this one either....keep up the good work crackberry, the contests are great but the content of the site is more important, love this site!!!!!!!!

Interesting marketing, I'll buy app if I don't win. Can this take a picture and email it remotely?

That way you might be able to not only have GPS, but also a picture of nearby surroundings!

So, how about throwing this one my way...? Last couple things I have received from the all mighty crackberry REALLY wasn't that great. I would make a good critic for this as well...

This could come in real handy. My co-worker lost her phone and this could have saved her buying another one.

Hope I Get Picked, I Was A Beta Tester For Safeguard But No Way I'm Paying Monthly For That HAHA

My wife is always losing and putting down her Storm places it shouldn't be. This would be great if it gets stolen or lost for good.

Last week she lost her phone. I found it later on that night after work - outside in the grass next to the curb after almost 2 hours of rain. Amazingly it is still working great. However, I would rather this not happen again.
