Druglord Wars 2 Now Available with New Locations And Features

Druglord Wars has been a long time favorite around here and now Epic Applications has moved the game to the next level. Druglord Wars 2 released yesterday, adds a whole new outlook on the game from the original. New features, new levels and a new scoring system are just a start.

  • Entirely new turn-based fighting system allows you to utilize unique strategies during fights you encounter along your journey
  • A hospital to allow you to recover health, extending your path to greatness
  • Armor to protect you during fights and let you get that last hit in
  • 6 new locations to visit, including international destinations for your worldwide empire
  • Drug values counted towards your high scores to help you top the global high score board, already with over 60,000 scores for you to compete against  

With these updates and the previous updates, which added to the UI and graphical experience of Druglord Wars the game has turned out to be one of the best cases of what a developer can do with the resources available. The end result, a beautifully designed and entertaining game for BlackBerry.

Yeah, I don't like that I just paid for the update on the other version and now this pops up. I wouldn't mind buying this one if the last update was free.

It's not whether or not we are that cheap its why the developer needs to keep ripping us off.

are they that cheap?

I am not sure where you are getting ripped off from. This update took months of design, development and extensive testing, and the people and their time responsible for doing so aren't free. For our loyal CrackBerry users, we offer a 50% discount ($1.99) on the update, and we offer it for free if you bought in the last 30 days.

I understand that, and that is why I decided to pay twice already. From my standpoint I have already paid one more time than I should have, and your reasoning the last time was that it was completely re-worked.

Maybe an update of the previous edition would make more sense than completely re-doing the game every couple months.

I understand that you need to get your money for your time, don't get me wrong, I just don't understand making the same client pay over and over again for the updated product. Twice is enough.

you wont pay for it if you have already purchases the previous version!
all what you have to do is log in ur account at the crackberry shop and u will download it as free update just like what I've did yesterday !

I have my own policy. If I purchased an app less then six months ago (in this case three months ago) and the developer wants me to pay for an upgrade, I do not buy the upgrade and I do not buy any other apps from that developer. Call it what you will (whiney, whatever), but if I purchase an app, and then shortly thereafter it is updated, I believe the update should be free.

Endless amounts of fun!!! Amazing game and this update rocks!

Regarding this update, we have to consider that is a major update and that´s why is not free! It is a whole new version!

I got my Druglord Wars in January and had to get this upgrade for USD1,99 (w/ discount)! I think It was a good deal. Don't mind to buy this upgrade. I can see that the game has improved a lot and the next update will be free!

I love this game and i've been a fan since i had it back on my nextel phone, but this new version is to easy. If you play the game a certian way, it'll never end, it's just to easy to keep going on for days. Once my trial period ends, i'm going back to the last one, I'm at over 50 million and I'm not even trying

This is ridiculous. It's a mobile game, not a lot can be put into it and not everyone can be satisfied. If games are that important to you, and their content, you bought the wrong phone. You could be worse off, I have an iPhone all the games are easy and cost twice as much.

I'll probably end up caving and buying the update, but I am most disappointed that most apps for other phones (except blackberries) are much cheaper... An most updates are free... Sometimes they tweak it enough and have a version 2. It appears that's the case for this game???

I'm guessing the real problem is that the other phones either have more users who end up buying the app and us blackberry folks get screwed since we are not as big of a market for some apps and they need to charge more...

I love the ipod touch for the 1000's of .99 apps. To bad all of our apps are 2.99+... The tower defense games are all $4.99... The ipod apps are so much cheaper and even often times better.

Since I am not a programmer I wonder if bb apps are harder to make? I am a bit shocked that ports from ipod or even android apps are not created for BB???

For example, yelp mobile has a check in mode for iphone and i think android but not blackberry? We BB users are often times business users and would imagine that we would love additional features...

Total # of users obviously carry the most weight, thus we don't get as many apps and prices as low as .99.

Anyone good programmers interested in starting a company let's do it! Let's start making more apps and better prices!

No its not that there are less users for the BB market, its that the other devices are geared toward the entertainment market. If you want an entertainment phone, why would even look at a BB? I bought the iPhone for sole purpose of entertainment and a personal device. When my work is down, I put the BB down and pick up the iToy.

I'm not griping about the price, only that this game is now sooo easy it basically takes all the fun out of it. I'm on day 190 @ 91% health & at this rate I'll never die.

Just like when you install version 2 of any other game, these will install side by side. You paid for both, you should get both.

I paid for Druglord Wars via the Blackberry app store on the 17th of March, which I'm fairly sure is less than 30 days ago... yet I don't seem to be able to get a free upgrade. Very frustrating... does the "free upgrade" only apply to people who bought it via the Crackberry store?

Very disappointing and frustrating if so.

When I download the upgrade I paid $1.99 for, I'm given a crippled version that required a registration key that wasn't given to me on my receipt...and I get a "404" error when I try to get instructions on getting my key. I went ahead and re-purchased it for $2.99 (no biggie) and STILL got a temporary version that demands an activation that I wasn't given any number for. Epic/Mobihand has ignored two support requests since the weekend. Guess I learned the first lesson of Drug Wars...ya lay down with rats...

Auto-registration will work for you if you have entered your PIN correctly. So far, 100% of the cases where it has not worked is when a users PIN is incorrect at purchase time. If that is the case, drop us an email. We respond to 100% of requests. If you have not gotten a response, check your spam folder.

Why do you say its crippled? Its the entire game, with a one week grace period for activation. Click continue trial while you work it out, and you got exactly what you paid for.

I checked the SPAM filter, and indeed that's where it was. Kind of hard for me to follow your instructions on keeping your emails out of my SPAM folder when they go to the SPAM folder, eh?

Here's what happens:
I start the game.
It gives me the option to continue trial, enter registration or buy full version.
I press the registration option - it offers to auto-lookup by my purchase. It says it cannot find my purchase.
Then it says Enter PIN.
I press OK, and it takes me to the screen where I enter a key which I have ever received. Not my PIN.
And finally when I select the choice to "How to Find Your Key," I get the 404 error on my browser that the page can't be found.

Is it possible to play this game & listen to personal media filers from my berry? For instance play my mp3's or podcasts and play the game simultaneously?
