Dropbox for BlackBerry updated to v1.0.30

For those of you all who happened to get in on the Dropbox for BlackBerry beta, you can now log in and download the latest release available which, should be showing as v1.0.30. At this time, I couldn't find any change log to report about what exactly has been updated but, I can say just from using it that it does appear to work better on the BlackBerry Torch now. If you still haven't gotten into the beta release, then you may want to keep your eye on Dropbox site as they often make unannounced slots available.

I'm in on the Beta now. Thanks for letting us know. Now, to get it up and running. However, Doc 2 Go has been pretty good to me thus far. This makes for a nice backup/alternative, I hope.
I hope to drop back soon with an update on how it performs on the Torch for me.

I see that the app allows for uploading pictures, but what about Word or PDF files? Also, it seems to be a one-way access rather than a sync between your phone and your computer.
Can anybody clarify this for me?

it's very feature lacking. but hey...we're lucky we even get a db app for the bb to be honest. biggest feature wanted, from what ic an tell, is the ability to select any file to upload. i hopethat gets implemented eventually

Simply awesome app and runs superfast on my BlackBerry Bold 9700

It's a nice app and I use it as a back up for my files but it would be a lot better if it could use bis connection not tcp as it's not returning the bis connection after you use it. Very annoying.

Give me a mod position and ill target these spammers and delete them. As they post spam. Because I love crackberry and it makes me mad when people post things like that

I use Dropbox on my desktop computers and I am wondering if installing it will use a lot of CPU or other resources?
Thanks for your comments.

thanks for the heads-up. I also got in.
bimmerstein Sep 10, 2010 at 4:12 pm
Excellent! Very easy to use and is super fast. The only minor issue is a big cache may slow things down a bit if your BB is already running low on memory.
bessemercityburgess Sep 10, 2010 at 10:26 pm
how about ill come spam your site cause apperntly crackberry isnt going to do anything
jtiger23 Sep 15, 2010 at 11:32 am
Thankfully I've been able to download this app...it will probably be my most used app on my BB! It is incredible!
It's fast (tested on 3g and WiFi), reliable (so far), incredibly easy to share ANY file (not just in your public folder) with the click of the menu button.
I work for a software company and we are constantly traveling. Having the ability to send ANY file I need to a customer or co-worker is priceless.
LOVE IT.
