Dropbox for BlackBerry

After a bit of a meltdown on Sunday Dropbox has recovered and is back up and (securely) running. Their BlackBerry app has again been updated, this time what looks to be some minor bug fixes. Whether the "fixes" are related to their secutiry breach we're not sure, but better safe than sorry right? No change log this time around but it doesn't look like anything major has changed (if you sport something let us know in the comments). You can grab the update free from BlackBerry App World at the link below. Thanks to everyone that sent this in!

Can one of the CB folks do an in depth comparison of Dropbox vs. SugarSync? I was a DropBox user until recently switching to SugarSync. SugarSync gives more free space and you do not have to follow their directory structure as you do on DropBox. However, my Mobiola xPlayer Pro has an option to play the music in any of my DropBox folders, which eliminates the need for me to carry these fat media files on my device.

Thoughts anybody?????

Do any of these services allow you to disable a device in case of loss/theft? Dropbox does not.

You should check your information - Dropbox lets you to disable any device associated to your account..

You're right, I didn't realize it was so easy to unlink. BUT this article details a pretty big problem for networked users.

This story from CB a couple of week ago does a good comparison of Dropbox to Sugarsync:

Download DropBox for your PC first here (2GB FREE + 250mb BONUS) using this link:

OR, if you prefer, here is link for Sugarsync that now includes 5GB FREE + 500MB Bonus:

Full Disclosure:
I am trolling for personal referral points and this link is a referral for my benefit (and yours!). ;)

Or you can use another (safer) alternative cloud storage solution, such as SugarSync:
You get 5GB of cloud storage space with the FREE version, but now there is no restriction to the number of computers you can sync/backup (up from 2).

Also if you use the below referral code you get a bonus 500MB extra on top of your Free 5GB!

Hope it helps someone.
