I just discovered that a popular game for iPhone/iPod and Android is available for BlackBerry users as well. Doodle Jump is an easy to pick up game that is super addictive, and for the longest time BlackBerry users had to make do with imitations and lesser versions. The updated release of Doodle Jump, v4.0 has great graphics, smooth gameplay, and a new low price.
Gameplay is simple: Guide the Doodler on a springy journey up the never-ending sheet of graph paper to see how far you can climb. Leap from platform to platform, finding your way higher and higher using brilliant contraptions like springs, propeller hats and jet packs. Avoid broken platforms, menacing black holes, UFO s and baddies. Blast them with your nose balls!
Now you too can Jump, jump, jump to the top, top, top with Doodle Jump. Just be careful because like I said, it is really addictive. You can purchase Doodle Jump for just $1.99 from BlackBerry App World.

Not working on the Torch it says in App World.. :(
Bla1ze Dec 16, 2010 at 10:41 am
It was tested on a Torch, heck the screen cap is from a Torch.

the appworld needs some serious overhauling. you would see your device listed in the list of compatible devices, but would get the not available for your device message.
erikluyten Dec 16, 2010 at 11:02 am
OK and now i can't log into Appworld at all...
dan1668 Dec 16, 2010 at 11:06 am
did they fix it so storm owners can play it like the iphone/android with the gyroscope/tilt sensors? I refuse to pay for a sub-par game that makes u actually tap the screen to move because the devs were lazy.

I would like to know this as well.

Needs to work with the accelerometer like it does on the Iphone. There are other games on the blackberry that already do this (Freddy Jump for example). Not worth downloading when there are already better games available. The Iphone version is great with multiple themes and use of the accelerometer.

SO ... where is Angry Birds for the Torch anyway?
ArronOwen Dec 16, 2010 at 2:47 pm
Yeah based in UK here too!!
Show us some love over here!!

Has anyone purchased this from Bplay and received an update? (bplay.com) Mine's still stuck in V1x
snowfree52 Dec 17, 2010 at 4:38 am
So, even with a torch you need to play with the trackpad ?
blackcaneaddict Dec 19, 2010 at 2:41 am
Anybody able to update to 4.0? They tell me "DJ is not available for download" when I go to update.
Mojoski Dec 29, 2010 at 5:02 pm
On the Torch you play by tapping the screen.. Not nearly as nice as accelerometer support would be. I wonder if they will ever fix that for the Torch? So annoying..
