BlackBerry Z30

Hey developers! If you have ten minutes to spare today and happen to want a new smartphone (who doesn't?), then we have something for you: The Developer Economics Survey. Brought to you by our friends at Vision Mobile, this quick survey focuses on developer questions around the things that are important to developers: platforms, frameworks, customers, and more.

Of course, your answers will help Vision Mobile build their next report on app development today, but we know you really want to know what you might be able to win for your time.

How's a new smartphone sound? You could win a brand-new BlackBerry Z30! Also up for grabs are an iPhone 5s, a Samsung Galaxy S5, and a Nokia Lumia 930, as well as some other cool gizmos.

Lol. It's not a "news" post. We worked with Vision Mobile directly on this promotion, and today was the day we intended to post it. So... yeah... we arrived precisely when we wanted to. Great that you took it though!

Haha Sorry if it sounds like a complaint. This was not my intention.

Anyway I hope this Year the "Overall Numbers" in the Survey will be much better for the BlackBerry OS10. It still has great Potential. I hope the SDK in May will bring some other, not yet officially listed, great Stuff to Play with. *FingersCrossed*

I love these surveys... They ask you questions where, much of the time, the only honest answer I can give is "none of the choices you presented me with." This one has one of those on the first page.

No - winning a different platform for dev work gives me the hardware that I may not be inclined to spend money on. Devs can't earn a living by being fanboys and people who have seen my BlackBerry and Android work have asked if I do apps for iOS and that will be a learning curve for me that also comes with real costs.

I use an iPad and MacInCloud for my iOS builds. Works pretty well.

Easier than buying a Mac just to use for development. When I was shopping for laptops last - they didn't have any laptops that could even compare to mythlogic. I've also had hardware issues with apple - so really hesitated to buy a laptop from them.

Man I wish Blackberry was able to convert iOS apps to Bar files similar (or better) than how APK's can. Then we'd have the best of all worlds.
If someone could get on that, it would be awesome. You'd have the best hardware (in my opinion) coupled with all possible software. How could that not be a home run?

Took this survey and because I'm not an app developer or involved with app making of any sort then I won't be eligible to go in the running to win any prizes #fail

I filled it out, I only started to dive into APP development, so a lot of it was guessing, or i don't knows. But, we all have to start somewhere.

Survey is a bit of a joke. You spend 10-12 minutes bit based on the way you answer certain questions when you get to the end you aren't eligible for the prizes. If that's the case they shouldn't ask you to complete the rest of the survey.

I noticed that disclaimer also. I think for phone prizes u would still be eligible

You cannot make it more stronger but you can lower the screen brightness and close apps you are not using.

I m using this z10 black berry with a problem of heating during charging and battery timing and also a problem of saving messages

All the problem with all phone are the battery, I hope the BlackBerry can fix the problem and can minimize the error bugs.

Firstly, everybody will love to use blackberry if the level of the application of Google play can easily work perfectly with it, because there are some applications that can't work on the current blackberry android but will work on the small normal android, e.g PES can't work on my blackberry Z3. But the battery is the major problems of all phone,

The blackberry company is trying..but they still need to develop more applications...such as blackberry downloader that one can be watching movie live while downloading it...Microsoft applications with new graphics...with all this it will boost the selling of the company's products and it will add more profits to the company
