Default Ex and Plus - Two great new themes from AG Designs & Graphics - 100 copies to be won!

By Michael Hepples on 30 Jun 2010 10:40 am EDT

We have seen plenty of OS 6-like themes lately, as more and more devs jump on the clean look and smooth appeal of what we have seen in the blogs. This hit my inbox this morning, and I have to say, it's a solid looking theme.  Two versions are available, completely identical except for the fact that one version has the OS6 precision icons and one has a full set of custom icons. The resemblance to most of the OS6 clones stops there though as the developer has taken the function in a completely different direction from what we have seen. Scrolling right slides more icons into view and scrolling down reveals a hidden dock. Clickable banner items have been added, with shortcuts to the standard Manage Connections, Messages, Clock and Calendar all able to be accessed. For touchscreen devices there have been 4 hidden docks incorporated, launched via various "buttons" located on the homescreen. To see the theme in action, you can check out the YouTube video created by the developer at the link below. Available in the CrackBerry App Store for all devices running OS 4.6 and up. PLUS is $1.99 with the "default" icons and EX is $2.99 and includes the custom set.

Contest: We have 100 copies of Default EX and PLUS to give away! Just leave a comment on this post to enter. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PDT. Please only leave one comment, multiple entries won't count.

Default Ex and Plus - Two great new themes from AG Designs & Graphics - 100 copies to be won!

I just bought default plus. U can tell this guy really took his/her time in making this theme. Works great on my 8530. I really want default ex :D

This looks like a real sharp theme, I'd love to check it out!

C' whammy, no whammy, no whammy....

I like the idea of quicker access from the main screen....

I've been using the same theme for a year now and ready for some positive change.....will this be the one?

I'd love to win a copy of Default PLUS theme it looks really good and I'd love to see it on my BB :)

Great looking Themes very clean and crisp, I would love to get one for my new 9650 Bold. CB Please make my day! :-)

It's been a while since I've seen a theme that I'd like to try out. This one looks that it might fit the bill!

Just saw the video. Really clean interface. May purchase it if I don't get a copy of EX.

Finally some Storm1 love!

This theme looks better than the other OS6 theme.
Homescreen display looks really smooth, clear & looks like the original OS6.
It gonna be more great if using the original or similiar wallpaper of OS6.
I really want to put this theme into my BlackBerry Storm devices, and show this OS6 to my friend. ha3..
Now I really can't wait for the release of RIM's OS6..--'

Sweeeeeettt I would love to win the plus theme! I would actually also love to win the default! Awesome design!

Anything that can enhance the sex appeal of my 9700, I am 100% behind. Would love to have this EX theme.

nice theme! I prefer the look and feel of Precision Zen and this theme appears to enhance that! I wouldn't mind a free copy! :p

OK... this is the hottest and most functional (for me) theme I've seen yet. I'm crossing my fingers for a copy!

Bought one of them a few days ago, can't even remember which one, because I deleted it pretty soon afterwards.
It works smooth, looks graet and would be a perfect theme but...
the buttons you have to push in order to open the hidden docks are horrible. While the right one is o.k., the left is hardly usable if you wanna use the phone with one hand. Like in other themes theses buttons should response by just tapping on them and not actual clicking (test all OS 6 themes, works well there!).
I was bothered enough to contact developer but I guess they don't give a hot fart in space for I never heard from them. It's a shame ! They claim it to be the "perfect" theme, well folks, it's not ! With a litttle effort it could be though !

Yeah, the themes look interesting on youtube, would be interesting to try on the phone. Not quite understanding those bottom hidden docks though...
