Now, I can't say I have used Foursquare myself but it seems to be gaining a lot of recognition with iPhone and Android users. For those among you, like me who have never used the service Foursquare is a GPS and social network application which allows you to keep track of your friends and explore the city you live in. By "discovering" things in your own city you earn points and badges as you go a long.

Over at BerryReview, Ronen has posted some information regarding a beta application for BlackBerry smartphones that Foursquare is reported to be launching in early December. One thing to note here is that Foursquare is oft related to Twitter. Some Twitter applications we all know and love are also working on Foursquare integration as Foursquare has made their API services available to all platforms.

So, any Foursquare users out there excited to see a dedicated appplication arrive on BlackBerry? Let us know in the comments, I'm curious to see how many Foursquare users we have among us.

Just signed up for a foursquare account the other day but none of my friends seem to use it yet and the mobile site doesnt exactly work all the time. It seems like a fun and awesome concept tho so hopefully the BB app will work on the storm and help gain more exposure in philly.

I've been using foursquare for a couple of months already on a daily basis and it's a great way to share places you've been to. It's a mix of Yelp/XBOX Live.

I had the application on both iPhone, Droid, and looking forward to getting it for the Tour. The mobile web version could suffice for now.

I use foursquare, but would do so more often if there were a BB app.

"Rumor" has it they've got 300 beta testers using it right now *wink wink*

I used this app easily on my iPhone for months, but since I switched back to BlackBerry, the mobile site, although usable, is not as slick.

This will rock.

I have been using Foursquare for a few months now & think it has great potential & can be quite addictive . I'm looking forward to the BlackBerry App, the mobile web site is very buggy, which really hinders the amount I do use Foursquare.

Just signed up. Sadly none of my friends are on it though!

FINALLY I'm so excited to not have to use my mobile web anymore to check in. Can't wait!
