We first took a look at Death Worm when it became available for the BlackBerry PlayBook. I was rather excited to see it crop up in BlackBerry World for BB10 and as I loved the PlayBook version I just had to have it on my Z10. Q10 owners can also pick this one up although it will be a much better gaming experience on the larger Z10 display.

The aim of the game is quite simple. You control Death Worm and your mission is to eat as many people/birds/vehicles as possible to earn you enough points to reach the next level. As you get further and further there will additional vehicles to eat which are a little more resistant to you such as tanks and helicopters - however you can pick up some bonus items to make you jump higher to reach the choppers.

It's a fairly gruesome concept and I'm glad these worms don't really exist... or do they?

Death Worm will set you back £1.50/$1.99 and that's real good value if you ask me. I must warn you though - it can get addictive!

Features of Death Worm include:

  • 60 levels on 4 different locations
  • 3 bonus mini-games
  • explosive survival mode
  • 50 enemy types
  • 4 worm types

I had a version of this that had NES inspired graphics. It was a very fun game. Might download this.

If you looking for another cool little game then Super Hexagon is fun.

For whatever reason, I actually enjoy this more on my Z10 than I had on my PB.

Thanks to dev for making it single purchase for PB + BB10 handheld.

This is how you CB10, son!

Phew!

For a few seconds reading the title I was worried some kind of worm or Virus had hit BlackBerry 10 and thus QNX and somebody found it to be a wonderful thing ?! ?!? ?!?!?

Phew!!

PS: James ... could you adjust the title to read 'wonderful game ...' some of us in blog view only see the title on the left side bar of the main site on the PC/Mac. ; ) Seriously had to freaked out for a moment ... was hesitant to click on the thread.

I love it when the devs make a game available on both PB and Z10 with a single purchase :)
