Dater - A new native BlackBerry 10 Tinder app enters the Beta Zone

By James Richardson on 21 May 2014 06:22 am EDT

Are you into online dating? If so you'll be pleased to hear that there is currently a third party Tinder application in the BlackBerry Beta Zone called Dater.

Now I must admit I've not used Tinder before and don't really know too much about it, although I have heard friends mention it who use an iPhone or Android device.

According to the developer of Dater the application is still in its very early stages and at the moment just allows you to check out the user interface - which looks real hot. In addition, the UI isn't optimized for the Q devices, although it looked just fine and dandy on my Q10.

If this looks like your sort of app download it for your BlackBerry 10 device and provide the dev with feedback.

This one looks very promising to me.

Bahahaha, this whole marriage thing is getting in the way of try promiscuous apps like Tinder on my BlackBerry!

No way I would have agreed to love, had I had known about this news 5 years ago! ;)

I love Nemory but I wish he developed more free apps (with ads) instead of paid apps.
He deserves all the money for his apps but imo a price tag on an app is like putting a limit to the its spreading

It's bad for BlackBerry in my opinion. Why should a new BlackBerry user stay with BlackBerry when all these "original" apps are free at, for example iOS?

It might have something to do with the fact the people making the free apps are the companies who benefit directly.

If someone is going to take the time to make a functional app for your benefit this is how they get paid not by using the service or ad revenues from the service.

Free market, he makes the app we have the choice to buy or not, but at least BlackBerry have some choice vs no choice.

People don't change phones because of an app costing a dollar or two, and if so those people are few, and they will never be loyal anything anyway.

Although some of these apps are not free, they ARE better looking and smother than the actual Android or iOS versions, and that warrants a bit of cost.

What keeps people away is lack of knowledge of the fact that apps are there for BlackBerry 10 in the first place, not that they are not free.

I totally agree. There are so many crappy android apps to filter through...I'd much rather spend the change in my couch on a slick made for BlackBerry App with no annoying ads. Carry on Nemory!

I'm actually in to that road. Gonna release a free version of Messenger once the new ads api of BlackBerry is out :) thanks bro

Bout damn time! Hey us berry users are also looking for love....Maybe in the wrong places but hey who is counting?

How can they get an app into beta zone when other developers are unable to, form what I have heard the beat One is now only open to blackberry elite developers which they are not?

Classifieds Canada and GeoYeo App all the way!!!

This is by Nemory? I appreciate his work, but if so, it would be nice if he spent some time cleaning up all the bugs in the paid version of Snap2Chat before moving on to another paid app.

I did just fixed finally the Headless Issue in Snap2Chat Bro. I can work simultaneously if I have time to work full time. Right now I'm a little busy with family stuffs so I can't work that much. But as you can see I just published the 2.1 update of Snap2Chat in BlackBerry World, and messenger new version out in BlackBerry World just minutes ago too.thanks :)

Yep, I have it, thank you. Hope you can still get around to addressing a few of the other things: multiple hub installs, successful profile viewing, refine tapping for text input on photos, swipe to hub, etc. Would be nice to have chat and add friends from contacts also, but those aren't bugs, just features. :)

Just get Amazon App Store and you can download any non Google app. Why wait for anything to come to BlackBerry World?

Although this is great, this may potentially be a waste of time. Tinder made Rudy Huyn pull his Tinder app from the WP8 store. I can see them do the same here.

We could use a Pushbullet app though. Hint hint, nudge nudge.

Fuck im Q user and love BlackBerry, but BlackBerry force me back to iphone.this app not for Q, tango not for Q,viber not for Q. Lol and if I wanna use full touch phone, I use iphone not Z. Fucccck

Seriously the android version from snap store works buttery smooth, however a native app is a native app.
