We told you that The Dark Knight Rises had been released for BlackBerry 10 - so in true CrackBerry fashion it's time to show you on video what the game is all about. Costing £1.50/$1.99 (Yes, I got the price wrong in the video) many of you may be in two minds whether to part with your cash, so I'm hoping that after seeing the video it may help make the decision easier.
The beauty of the game is that you are constantly given instructions on what it is you need to achieve. The on-screen controls are simple to use on the Z10 touch screen. You have a virtual joypad on the left of the display and action buttons on the right which are used for fighting, firing your grappling gun etc. In addition you can pan around at any point using the top half of the display.
The graphics are amazing (which doesn't come as a surprise as the game is from Gameloft) and the sound effects are as realistic as can be.
- An epic gaming experience - Dozens of missions plus random events will make you feel all the thrills of being a superhero. Deal with hostage situations, bomb squads, jailbreaks and car chases to prove that you’re the true protector of Gotham. A thrilling fighting system that puts you right in the heart of the action thanks to many different moves and cinematic effects. Collect items hidden within the city to unlock upgrades and new fighting skills for Batman.
- Play as the Dark Knight - Access Batman’s complete arsenal and learn how to take full advantage of each tool. Use the Grapnel to cross the city or to defeat foes, throw the Batarang to knock out your enemies or to hit a distant button; the possibilities are infinite. When kicks and gadgets are of no use, The Dark Knight relies on his vehicles to get the job done. Drive the Bat-Pod for special vigilante missions or pilot The Bat for fast travel across the city.
- Experience Gotham like you never have before - Explore the entire city of Gotham and its different districts spread across a huge map and enjoy stunning graphics for total immersion in the dark universe of Batman.
The Dark Knight Rises gets the thumbs up from me. In fact, it may be my new favorite BlackBerry 10 game. Nice work Gameloft.
