The Dark Knight Rises for BlackBerry 10 now available

After having teased its arrival several times now, Gameloft has finally made The Dark Knight Rises for BlackBerry 10 available. As you may have guessed by the title, the game is entirely inspired by the movie itself and brings along with it a ton of action filled gameplay. If you're not familiar with the role you'll be playing, it's that of Bruce Wayne and you've given up crime fighting for the past eight years. Now, a lethal adversary on a crusade to tear apart Batman’s legacy piece by piece has arrived and you must return to action. Bane is waiting but you have plenty of allies to lend a helping hand, when it's really needed:

  • An epic gaming experience - Dozens of missions plus random events will make you feel all the thrills of being a superhero. Deal with hostage situations, bomb squads, jailbreaks and car chases to prove that you’re the true protector of Gotham. A thrilling fighting system that puts you right in the heart of the action thanks to many different moves and cinematic effects.  Collect items hidden within the city to unlock upgrades and new fighting skills for Batman.
  • Play as the Dark Knight - Access Batman’s complete arsenal and learn how to take full advantage of each tool. Use the Grapnel to cross the city or to defeat foes, throw the Batarang to knock out your enemies or to hit a distant button; the possibilities are infinite. When kicks and gadgets are of no use, The Dark Knight relies on his vehicles to get the job done. Drive the Bat-Pod for special vigilante missions or pilot The Bat for fast travel across the city.
  • Experience Gotham like you never have before - Explore the entire city of Gotham and its different districts spread across a huge map and enjoy stunning graphics for total immersion in the dark universe of Batman.

You can check out the trailer above to get a better look at what to expect and if you're looking to purchase the game, Gameloft has set it to a reasonable $1.99 in BlackBerry World. In order to download it, you'll need access to some Wi-Fi as it does roll in at over 900MB -- something to keep in mind if you're keen on watching your storage space. Also, if you're not seeing it yet  just wait a bit longer. It seems to still be filtering through BlackBerry World.

The Dark Knight Rises for BlackBerry 10 now available

Can Batman make BB World work for me again? At least before Gameloft jacks up the price, I hope?

Happy to see yet one more big title arrive on the BB10 platform!

This is how you CB10, son!

Open the Music app and tap the 3 dots in bottom right corner. The action menu will show an option to go to BlackBerry World Music section.

From there, swipe from top, tap Settings, then tap the version number of BB World, and hit the back button.

Just click the link in the post, and it will take you to the download page. My bb world is fucked too, but this method works.

If you haven't already done so, upgrade the OS. Might want to use a deactivated non-UAE carrier SIM to trigger it. You'll need wifi.

Did anyone notice that at the end of the trailer only the Apple and Google stores are shown for download. Why not BlackBerry World? We need to see it to show people BlackBerry is back.

That makes sense. This is an old trailer, I didn't notice that. What surprises me is I can actually download it on my Verizon Z10 with the old OS.

It's not there because at the time the video posted (in July 2012) BB10 was not out yet.

For those who still experience BlackBerry World problem, but doesn't have music store like the US people, try access the BBW through the Games app. There's a "visit bbw" somewhere in the option, and from there you can open BBW, just like normal!

Update the OS. Use another carrier SIM from another country, even if it's deactivated, to allow the update to go through. Oh and make sure wifi is on. Manually check for updates to start.

Use another carrier's sim from a supported country, deactivated or activated, turn on wifi, check for updates. It won't work unless you update the OS.

I dunno, these games (Batman, Spiderman etc.) are too complex for a phone and require too much focus. I prefer simpler games on a phone that don't require me to focus too much. Although I will say game graphics on smartphones are really coming along.

So seems its not available for stl 100 devices smh...this Sucks big time...why sell us phones for a standard price if they are inferior to certain others?

So far I know, there's no distinct "unavailable" message if you DL it from the device (means wether it's OS, model or country limitation).
Checking the link provided may help ... did you ?

Either you didn't check the link at all, or you don't own a Z10, or you haven't updated the OS. Check the link and update your device. If you don't own a Z10... Troll?

I purchased The Dark Knight Rises and it download perfectly but when I try to install it I get error,

I've restarted my Z10 several times and re downloaded the game but it keeps coming up error on the installation however other apps are installing just fine

Please help I'm unsure how to make it work

WTF i have all gameloft games and this game say not available for your device what other devices running bb10 :s that sucks

Accessing BLACKBERRY World through another app is freaking stupid. On another note, purchasing apps through my carrier is freaking genius. I'm going to go bankrupt. Wait it's only two bucks. MINE!

I checked out the upcoming Spiderman game as well and it also appears to be stellar.

I connected my Z10 to my TV via the micro HDMI to HDMI and it works great. Can I get a clip on controller for my Z10? Action games are generally hard to play due to accurate input controls on a touch screen device.

Game looks sweet!

Available on the internet App World. Says 'Not available for this device' in the BlackBerry World.

Downloaded and works fine. Here is a more important question. If Batman had a phone; would it be the Z10? It iso becoming of Batman. Lol

Got it loaded, seems to work pretty well. Cool stuff. Too bad I can't get it on my PlayBook. The PB is such an amazing gaming device!!!

Download and plays fine for me.
I would suggest you keep a charger handy for extended game play

Looks great but even without trying it I know the controls would drive me crazy. You can't replace a keyboard + mouse or a gamepad. There are games best suited for a touchscreen though such as Solitaire.

BlackBerry world was down for me (I'm with Fido in Canada) ut its up and running now. I searched up the game and installed. It works great. I'm going to plug it in to my big screen via HDMI later on tonight and see how it looks :)

Great game, great look... BIG download. Well worth the 1.99. Now, if only i could find the time to play it. Cant help but think how amazing this would look on the PlayBook.

PlayBook is good for its screen size but it is pretty slow for only 1 gb of data. Can't for bb10 on my PlayBook

I need an answer nowww why the f*** isn't z10 stl100-1 support this game I'm getting very irritated about this blackberry needs to know this problem it's not my problem that blackberry gave Africa and asia this model and they are one of the biggest markets for BlackBerry :@

Posted via CB10

I just installed it! Thanks to the devs for supporting BlackBerry. One request... Can you please bring these games to the BlackBerry PlayBook? Thank you!

Was playing for a while. The phone gets quite hot. Nice graphics though, and a decent frame rate. Definitely worth $1.99.

Can people in other countries download it on their I phones? That might answer if it's a BlackBerry issue or a country/legal copyrights?

Posted via CB10

I'm getting an error when I try to download it via BlackBerry World. I've tried downloading it 3 times already now... wasted 3 GB of precious bandwidth :'(

Anything over 50MB automatically requires wifi, so I'm pretty sure he is. I'm astounded by the ridiculously low bandwidth caps that some ISPs impose on customers, so 3GB may very well be precious bandwidth.

Wei Li, I feel your pain, dude.

I need any one from crackberry to tell me why isn't my device supported and other devices ARE!!!!

Posted via CB10

Carriers haven't released an OS update yet or are restricting it. Nothing can be done about it, but to wait.

I sent an email to gameloft support and told them it says not supported they told me they will fix it but i want to know any one have z10 stl100-1 download the game???

Posted via CB10

Fuck BlackBerry my country is the biggest BlackBerry user. But it said not available for my device! Sucks! May God punish u for this aroganity : Indonesia

Posted via CB10

Posted via CB10

My OS is updated to but it still says unavailable for my device? are they segmenting based on model number? because if it is what is the point of selling the STL100-1 then?
