If you run a blog or website and also have a BBM Channel, there's now a new way you can promote your channel on your site. Recently added to the BBM Channels Manager page is the option to create an HTML Widget with your QR Code and Channel PIN on it.

  • Simply login to your BBM Channels Manager page.
  • Go to your name in the top right.
  • From the dropdown, choose Widgets
  • Select your channel, options and size.
  • Click on generate.

And that's all there is to it. When generated, that code can be added to the HTML of your site or simply saved as an image and shared. A nice and easy way to help promote your channel wherever you do so wish. An embedded example of how it looks is below.

Thanks, Alex!

He is on fire reading the news in the forum section and reporting them? Some months ago we used to have the opposite: news on CB and us talking about them on the forum... anyway..

Wish I knew about this a few days ago before applying my crude skills to trying to create a badge myself. Anyway, glad to know it now.

I view all my media content on my Z10. I have seen some of these posted on twitter and Facebook. My question is, how do I scan them in on my phone if I am using my phone to view them?

Thanks.

I'm pretty psyched this launched. That - and did you see the updated analytics stuff? That was new to me - they're doing awesome.

This is good. CB should start with it. BlackBerry should get businesses to do this on their website similar to twitter etc.

I cannot access Blackberry Channel Manager. I open the link and try to sign in with my BB ID and I get a blue spinning circle. After 5 min I went back ,re introduced my BlackBerry ID and the same. Can't get over the spinning blue circle. I use a Windows 8.1 PC. Anybody else with this problem or anybody with a solution :)

Hey,

I wonder how I can set my birthday in BBM. If I click on myself where I can set my status, display name, etc I can also see my birthday but I can not change it. Anyway, the date I can see is wrong by one day. Where can I change it? Somewhere in BBM? In my ID settings? Or somewhere else in the phone settings? I use the z30 with 10.2 but have never seen this before.

My birthday is wrong by 1 day too. I though I did it on accident but it must be a glitch. It's grayed out so u can't change it.
