CrackBerry'd: The Truth About Information Overload

If you're a smartphone addict or just want to see CrackBerry get a little on-tv love, you'll want to set your PVRs or tune into CNBC tonight at 10pm ET for CrackBerry'd: The Truth About Information Overload. It's a documentary that explores how modern technology is rapidly changing the way we live.... sometimes for the better, and often for the worse. The documentary aired in Canada back in November under the name Are We Digital Dummies? (you can check out the promo video above and Canadians can watch it here) but I much prefer the way cooler CrackBerry'd name that CNBC is going with.  It will also re-run on Friday, January 7th at 1am and Saturday, January 8th at 11pm. Yours truly does make an appearance in this one... just keep in mind this was filmed in August so when you see CrackBerry get featured they're showing off the old site design, old CrackBerry book cover, and I'm about 15lbs heavier than I am now! lol. Enjoy the show!!

Kevin, that's not your house, is it? It's waaaaaaaay too sterile.

Oh and you have to love the Stroller accessory attachment in the second video. That's one accessory that should not have been made. I can just see parents pushing along, texting, or whatever, as they approach an intersection or something.

I make fun, but I have seen it happen.

I've got it on my DVR que! It's even in HD, which is nice. I won't be home to see it when it comes on, but I'll watch it in the next couple days!

Speaking of digital overload, I remember about a year ago when I said "DVRs are dumb, I don't know why anyone uses them" but now that I have one, I realize just how awesome they are!

Watching it now - love seeing Kevin speak. It's like a video podcast - kinda weird to see him while hearing him as I'm so used to the podcasts.

It's an epidemic. Going to meetings has become a waste of time with all the "important" e-mails/texts being sent.

I was at an interview on Monday and the CEO came in and proceeded to ask questions while burying his nose in his - you guessed it - his BBY. He managed to ask the same question TWICE within half a minute. Incredible display of self-involvement and complete lack of respect to me.

Bravo Kevin, Great job ! This was a real eye opener to the depths of our addictions. I guess we just have to really keep this all in pespective. Wow, i wonder how many of us Crackberry Nation followers seen ourselves in this special ? I know i did, but some of these people just eat and breathe this stuff 24/7 ! Man Kevin, you clean up real nice, but the jacket, ahh, could have been a different color. I think you guy's should do live videos instead of podcasts. It would add a little more of the human element to your updates to see you guy's in person on a regular basis, hey, think about it !

I missed it, so I went to set the DVR.... but its not found for "Friday, January 7th at 1am and Saturday, January 8th at 11pm" like the above article says, however I did find it on Sat, Jan 8, at 1am... so its set to record.
