While I was at the UK BlackBerry 10 launch earlier today I was chatting with BlackBerry's UK Managing Director, Rob Orr and he suggested sending out a short video message to our beloved CrackBerry readers. Clearly Rob is super excited about BlackBerry 10 going live tomorrow morning here in the UK but what I wasn't expecting was that he wanted to use this opportunity to thank the loyal CrackBerry readers for their support.

What more can I say. Nice one Rob.

Nice job James! We are jealous that you go live tomorrow!

That's awesome, but he should've given the loyal US readers the finger at the end!

And I will Thankyou back by buying the Z10 in the morning.

First let me say I am not bitter towards anyone overseas. I am in the USA on att. I watched the launch today from New York and was very excited. Then the hammer dropped. March! I must say this news just ruined my day on so many levels. Why would Thor choose to be in NY knowing that we are 60 days out? Why are they airing a super bowl commercial knowing we are 60 days out? Is there reasoning to this? Do they want the consumers to apply a chit ton of pressure on the US carriers now? I am dumbfounded. For everyone getting their new 10's tomorrow ENJOY! I will come around (I hope).

+1. Totally bummed right now!

My thoughts exactly! Don't forget that they've also been talking about the extreme importance of LTE for the last year!

It is odd - I can't imagine why the delay to the USA. It doesn't make sense to any of us in North America. When will the rest of Europe and other countries get this I wonder?

Hey, I'm totally down with what you're saying...but why are you shouting?
I've got some Fine Kentucky Bourbon here if you need it...

The release date is down to your carriers - not BlackBerry. I suggest you get on the horn and tear them a new one...and then another one after that!!!!!!!!!!

Blackberry not the the culprit here. Call your carriers and share your feedback. Throw in a few colorful metaphores.. ;-).

Thanks Rob.
You're a class act.

It's to bad about the USA launch being pushed to March. With the Mobile World Congress in February, there's going to an influx of new hero phones from LG and HTC.

Might be a subtle F U from RIM to all of the defectors in the US. I live in NY, but definitely agree with their plan to move forward with UK, Canada and UAE first. I guess since the brand is so damaged in the US, they have a good 2 months to build up the brand recognition again?

Thanks Mr. Orr - all I wanna know is : where didja leave the cold, still body of that interviewer you dealt with yesterday?
If she ain't dead - she owes you her life!
