Is it me or is "KurtisBertolami" a double winner with two copies of berry pop-up. how many does one person need? Guess I am a bitter loser :)
Fixed. Drew a new winner for the double winner (added it to bottom).
FYI...how we pick winners. We have a module built into our backend that for any given post will list all of the logged in commenters, and from there I can select how many winners I need (10, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200 etc) and it will pick them at random and spit them out to me.
From there I typically sort them alphabetically to ensure there's no duplicates and pick another winner in the case if there ever is (typically isn't an issue). Today I was just trying to get these up so skipped that step.

Sorry Kevin, but ur system isnt good. One user ("all4berry") won three copy's of BerryPopup, please tell me why? Im not jealous, but he/she dont need three copy's at all.

I don't think anybody would care if somebody won on two different contests. My concern was that there were so many that did. Example: BB Popup had 200 free and 2500 comments. So chance of winning is about 8%. Themes was 100 free and 900 comments. Chance of winning is about 11%. But the chance of winning both is less than 1%. And those are the ones with the greatest odds of winning two and everybody that posted on the themes contest also posted on the pop up contest.
So seeing one or maybe even two people win on two contests is pretty reasonable and I would think them very lucky, but seeing four should be fairly mathmatically impossible.
I am glad that you came back and clarified all the confusion and I love the site. I check it every morning and like to post when I feel it helps or I'm excited about something.
Keep up the good work and I look forward to all the great news coming down the line.

I never win ANYTHING on this site. I have won stuff from pinstack.com, blackberryrocks.com, and berryreporter before they shut down.....grrrrrr o well congrats on the big number of people on the site.

First off, I did win - but here's my 2 cents.
1. One post per account - that'll stop the multiple waste of space
2. More than "pick me" - shows some thought/reason for wanting the device
3. 1 win per user within 30 days - there's more than enough users, some are doubling up in multiple contests, including a double winner in THIS one....raises concern of coercion.

This is absolutely pathetic. It would be nice to win a contest from time to time, but I don't have time to spam the comments hoping to win. I work 60 hour weeks as an engineer and I try to spend what's left of my free time with my girlfriend.
Had I known that Crackberry takes no effort in choosing winners, then I wouldn't have wasted my time making a post that was meaningful to the topic or keep checking back for the results (well I keep checking back anyway because I love the site).

Multiple winners removed. Doing a few extra draws to get more winners in.
FYI - it is NOT an error to win in more than one contest. People can enter every contest, and can therefore win in multiple contests. However, standard procedure is to remove multiple entries (only the first entry is kept), and then winners are drawn at random from there.
We did some tweaks to the code to add bigger drawings (used to be only 10, 15, or 25 and we needed to grow it to 50, 100, 200 but I guess broke something in there on eliminating the duplicate names). Will be all good moving ahead.
