* LAST DAY TO ENTER: Ok, the truth is I love this blog post image so any excuse to run it again is fine with me, but we are down to the FINAL HOURS of this contest... so get in for your chance to win 1 of 2 BlackBerry PlayBooks. If you haven't dropped and given us your list of apps you'd like to see come to the BlackBerry PlayBook, stop what you're doing and do this now!! *

OK, so you don't actually have to drop and give us 20 pushups, but you will have to stop what you're doing, give it some thought, and let us know with a comment to this blog post the top apps/games/services/etc. you'd like to see come to the BlackBerry PlayBook. The time it takes will be worth the effort, as we'll be picking two lucky winners from among those who drop and give us their must-have app list to win a FREE BlackBerry PlayBook. For this contest we're not talking the small stuff here, but the big hitting apps and services and names you know and use that are out there on other platforms but not yet on the PlayBook. For example, Angry Birds, Skype, Kindle, etc...

  • Prizes: Two brand new BlackBerry PlayBooks are up for grabs for two lucky winners.
  • How To Enter: Leave a comment to this blog post listing the apps/services/games you want to see come to the BlackBerry PlayBook in YOUR order of priority. If you can come up with 20, that's awesome. If it's less, that's ok too. Just spill your guts on what apps you REALLY want to be able to install on your PlayBook asap!
  • Contest Details: Contest open worldwide. Deadline is midnight ET on June 30th, 2011.  Please just leave one comment to this post. We'll announce the winners on July 1st, 2011.
For some more insight on where PlayBook apps are at, be sure to check out our PlayBook Apps Initiative thread in the forums. That's it. Now drop what you're doing, and give us 20!!!  Best of luck!

Let see; first the NYTimes! I mean after that you know I would be happy.

And evernote, that would be a very good one, and the rest I will use my Blackberry! I have tried the Bridge option and I love it because its all save on your bb and your playbook is not filled with stuff.

But a list 20, damn that's a lot If I would want 20 apps like that angry birdy thing, I mean then I would be beter off with a you know apple thingy.

And well there is one thing, I want to get acces to alle the apps in beta zone!!

List in GENERAL (not precise) order of preference. I left out certain apps that I know are already available (facebook and poynt for example). You know, I left out Twitter because I know there's already an app called blaq or something? ... but actually it would be VERY nice to have an official twitter app, tweetcaster, twidroid ... just for more options ...AND I forgot an ebay app ... add ebay to the list somewhere around the middle .. ... and words with friends. I don't play it but BB needs this if they want to sell these tablets)!!!!

1) Netflix
2) Pandora
3) Tune In Radio
4) YouVersion Bible
5) GOOD news reader like Pulse
6) Google Maps or equivalent (Bing Maps good enough?) I know the playbook has "Bing maps" but I have no idea if it is as functional as google maps.
7) Calendar with sync (like google calendar)
8) Native email and contacts with unified mailbox (like the phones)
9) Unblock Me
10) Angry Birds
11) Engadget
12) Linked In
13) Square
14) TMZ
15) Super Tumble
16) Rocket Bunnies
17) Line Up
18) Hulu
19) GeoQuiz
20) Good dedicated navigation app (unless bing maps can do this)
21) Instant Hear Rate Monitor
22) Myfitness pal
23) cam scanner
24) cam card
25+) a good large selection of apps generally. One thing I value in my Evo is the selection of apps. Even if I may download an app and rarely or never use it, it's nice to have the app there anyway. In addition, it's fun to explore and discover new apps I didn't know about or think of. It's fun to download an app and try it out, even if I end up deleting it later. But the apps have to be decent apps, not a million different fart apps or tip calculators.
So yeah sure, there are some specific apps that set up a good foundation for an OS, but even if you have all those apps, if you don't have 50,000+ MORE apps for us to explore and try out, it's STILL going to be disappointing experience for us.
I have a playbook on the way already, but before I even get it, I'm already disappointed; I feel left out. Love the hardware, and UI, the speed, build quality and the company, but it's sad being shunned by the developers. :/

1. Native Email Client
2. Google Voice
3. Microsoft Office
4. Netflix
5. Pandora
6. Hulu +
7. Google Talk

9. Flixter
10. Google Music

Okay, I'm sure most of these have been mentioned, but...

Skype
Kindle
YouVersion.com Bible (or let us choose to view the full site!)
WordPress
NotePad++ or similar
MS Excel / Word / Powerpoint - Blackberry edition (the included ___-to-go apps are still too clumsy to use)
Angry Birds
Pandora
TweetDeck or similar Twitter client
EverNote
QuickBooks client
Guitar tuner (not the tones, but one that uses the mic as part of the tuner)
Desktop PC controller (tied to one window would be great - I could use it as a wireless controller)

But seriously, start by finishing the half-baked bridge apps first. The fact that it doesn't let me use the keyboard shortcuts I've set up on my phone annoys me to no end!

Number 1., of course, would be skype, then BB Procect (in sense that it would be able to work with you phone backups, like edit those contacts, settings...), More importantly full Powerpoint, VLC media player, Email client (being able to work with in offline mode, like Thunderbird), definitely BBM and I'd appreciate to be able to play Heroes of might and magic 3 or 5 on Playbook:-)

Skype, Chase bank, TEDAir, Dropbox, Amazon.com, eBay, (better) YouTube, IMDB, and maybe fix the damned GPS. I'd also like to see the Google android apps, like Google translate, which seem to work better than other apps that do the same tasks.

Oh and i would definiatley love to be able to organize apps into folders and have custom tabs!

Words with Friends, Shazam, a barcode scanner, native BBM, A full version of Netflix (not that pay just to update your que crap!), Angry Birds, a good e-reader app, Google Earth,

Wow!! If Skype doesn't show up on the PB soon, a WHOLE lotta folks are going to be upset!!

Must admit, it is the main reason I have not yet bought one, but here are my others:

1/ SKYPE!!!
2/ Dropbox
3/ Kindle
4/ Sugarsync
5/ Evernote
6/ Fring (as an alternative to Skype)
7/ Qik (another Skype alternative)
8/ Zumodrive
9/ Pulse
10/ Flipboard
11/ XE Currency
12/ NY Times
13/ Twitter
14/ Dictionary.com
15/ BBC
16/ Amazon
17/ IMDB
18/ Feedly
19/ LinkedIn
20/ ANGRY BIRDS!!

That's my wishlist. If the PB had these Apps now, I would have one already. Until such time, I can't justify the purchase. RIM, please use all your considerable resources to get the App Devs going and your PB will sell. Great hardware deserves great software.

And, just one last thing......................I'D LOVE TO WIN ONE!!!! ;)
