Posted in Podcasts on 10 Mar 2008 22:00 by Kevin Michaluk | 6 comments

CrackBerry.com Podcast: Episode 003"You are now listening to CrackBerry.com, home of the #1 Podcast for BlackBerry Users (& Abusers!), with your hosts, the Addict and the Expert, Kevin Michaluk & Craig Johnston!"

This podcast we are joined by Dieter Bohn, editor of the iPhone-dedicated website PhoneDifferent.com to talk about Apple's SDK Launch event and the announcement they are coming after the Enterprise market. Should RIM be worried? What does the iPhone have going for it and against it in the Business world? We cover the topic from just about every angle.

Dieter is also the VP of Communities for Smartphone Experts, parent company of CrackBerry.com, so we kick things off with an overview of the SPE Family. If the Enterprise/iPhone talk isn't to your flavor, once that discussion gets going you can always skip ahead to minute 51:14 where we get back to CrackBerry.com Community and BlackBerry News. There's lots of CrackBerry goodness packed into this episode - it's a long show, but we had a lot of fun recording it so we hope you enjoy!!! Take a listen after the jump.

With this episode and the last focusing a bit more on the Enterprise BlackBerry World, in Episode 004 we will be going back to the CrackBerry Consumer where Craig is going to spend some time getting into the details and his experiences with the awesome BlackBerry Curve 8320.

It's also your last chance to get in on our Podcast Contest. We talked about in Episodes 001 and 002. Any entries/ideas should be sent in before the end of Wednesday, as we'll be looking to have our stellar sound bytes in place for the next show.

This problem would be better addressed in the forums it's self...I posted this here in hopes that you may see this and then a forum member may be able to address your concerns.

Nice! Dieter managed to mobily accomplish the podcast through a heckuva SDK rundown.

BTW- Is Craig South African? His accent gave me the Biltong munchies something fierce...

By: Craig Johnston | Date: Sat, 03/15/2008 - 07:15

Yes I am originally from South Africa, now in the New York area.
Now you made me feel like some biltong!

Nice. I was born in Jo'burg but raised in Montreal. Occasionally I can still get the good stuff smuggled in from the massive Toronto ex-pat brigade. Chile bites too. :)

Can't get any descent data rates though... :(
