Welcome to CrackBerry.com, the #1 site FOR CrackBerry Users and Abusers, built and operated BY CrackBerry Users and Abusers.

To find out more about how this site came into existence and why, and who we are, click here for the full story.  In the meantime, here is a quick overview of what you can expect from the Crack Team and CrackBerry.com

Our aim is simple – we want to establish CrackBerry.com as the premier resource for anything and everything BlackBerry.  Whether you are at an airport with time to kill and want some games to play, need a replacement case for your Berry, want to stay on top of the latest news and rumours in the mobile industry, want to buy a Bluetooth headset but don’t know which one to buy, or are not quite up to CrackBerry Addict status yet and need help figuring out how to use your BlackBerry, CrackBerry.com is the first place you go.

We view the BlackBerry as a serious device that also has a lighter side and we’ve built CrackBerry.com to reflect that.  We’ve done our best to keep the site simple and intuitive while providing all the features we thought a site with a name worthy of the “2006 Webster’s New Word of the Year” award should have.

We’ve broken the CrackBerry.com website down into three main categories – Community, Forums, and Store.  Think Community for news, reviews, rumours, entertainment and useful information for new and experienced berry users alike. The Forum is your way to interact with other CrackBerry users  and the store will offer you the latest software, hardware accessories and downloads for every type of BlackBerry.

If you register with the site you have the option of setting up your free @ CrackBerry.com email redirector.  Set up YourDesiredName@CrackBerry.com and the system will redirect emails sent to your new @CrackBerry.com address to any existing email address you specify.  It’s simple. For those of you whose BlackBerry addiction has reached the point of unhealthy, be sure to check out the Rehab section.

We’ve built the CrackBerry.com wapsite as your portal to the mobile web.  Using the mobile browser on your wireless device, visit www.crackberry.com (or wap.crackberry.com if you don’t get automatically redirected).  The site features hundreds of links to the best mobile sites.  You can download the CrackBerry launcher (it installs a sweet CrackBerry.com icon onto your BlackBerry’s desktop) to make it easy for you to use CrackBerry.com as your starting point on the mobile web.

Enjoy the site!

If you're going to make such an obvious April Fools joke, you shouldn't use the name of a reporter from the cartoon Family guy. :)

And if you're tired of putting up with BlackBerry spam, you might want to try Antair BlackBerry Spam Filter. It's the simplest and best solution. http://www.antair.com

What I want to know is, how good is it with people with accents? That's always been my issue with 'voice' type applications...

Rumor has it that the AT&T Tilt (or HTC Kaiser) is coming out on the 3rd of September. It is a Windows Mobile 6 phone with a 400mhz processor, wifi, bluetooth, AND GPS. And the GPS isn't going to be locked down. If the reason is REALLY that they don't want to outdo the iPhone, then what about Tilt? It kills iPhone in every way ... and they are close to releasing that.

*EDIT: Wooops posted to the wrong story guys! LOL

Blackberry is the one that manufactured the Curve without a GPS, not AT&T (no matter how much I despise Cingular). If it was a goof on their website, it's just that.

The most you could possibly expect to get out of the deal is to be let out of your contract, but even then you would or should have known about the lack of GPS within a week of purchasing the phone, so you could have returned it then to get the 8800 that did have the GPS in it.

There is supposed to be another BB coming at Christmas time that is 3G, Wifi. This is not rumored, this was told to me by the business rep in Rochester, It was announced in there meeting.

It will be interesting to see how much the 8820 sells for, dont care really I get 45% off

Just called my local AT&T Wireless Store asking about the 8820. The gal on the other end knew nothing about it. Doesn't have it and not expecting it. If they have launched it, they haven't told their employees.

Does anyone know how to lockdown GPS location based services on a 7520? I need to find a way to have end user not be able to access this function for turning on or off.
