CrackBerry Birthday - ColorWare Curve Winner & Update!

Man oh man does time every fly... we're already just 11 months and two days away from CrackBerry's third birthday! It's going to be tough to top this year's birthdays and festivities, but don't worry...we'll do it! But before we get too far ahead of ourselves...we've still got some Birthday 2.0 business to take care of:

ColorWare Curve Winner: The winner of the first of our birthday contest took delivery of his prize yesterday and sent in pictures to share with CrackBerry Nation. From over 9,000 contest entries, it was Nick Sheldon of the UK who won a BlackBerry Curve 8900 custom painted by ColorWare. Nick took a multi-color approach on his 8900 which came out looking really rich! Nick went Carbon Black for the main body and back, Tan on the top and bottom, Steel on the sides and finished it off with a Candy Apple keyboard. You can check out more photos after the break. Wow, I think even Kevin was stumped by this color choice. All he could say was it looked "really rich". Colorware shouldn't have allowed this to happen, they should've screwed up his order on purpose and saved him from himself.

um.. maybe it looked better in his head before he ordered it? I know i shouldn't be hating but if I was color blind i would still be disgusted. But it was free, so why not have some fun with it?

how on earth do you end up with that colour combination? especially after seeing the gorgeous orange one that was advertised on the post!! What a waste of a phone. I know its been said before, but I had to say it again. I could have won this, and it would have been sick. This guy must have gotten his inspiration from looking in the toilet a day after a burrito feast. Kevin, if there are any future competitions like this, make sure to get members to describe the colour combo they would use, and choose the winner based on that criteria. We all know this is an artistic abortion.
