Devcon 2010 has officially come to a close and it was a great success all around. Closing out the week with a BANG (literally, you should have heard the sound effects!) we held our first live CrackBerry App Awards on Wednesday night and had an amazing turnout. There was plenty of food, booze and good times to be had. HUGE thanks go to Xobni, the BlackBerry Partners Fund and everyone that came out to enjoy the party.
Lots of the winners were in attendance so we got to hand out our special spinning Cracky trophies in person. We're also doing up some special graphics for the winners to use on their websites, promo materials, etc. (we'll follow up directly with those shortly). We also have plenty of video from the night on the way, but for now keep reading for the full list of this years winners as well as some photos from the event.

Where did Blaq stand? Its a great Twitter app!

Blaq is cool, but I feel like it gets lost in the crowd. So many good Twitter apps. I'm currently in my UberTwitter phase.

I think Blaq showed up a little late for this year's selection. I was totally floored when I saw T4BB won. It definitely was a genuine WTF moment to say the least! :) UT runs circles around T4BB, SocialScope imo is #1 overall in my opinion of course but they are still in private beta status, so they have NO chance to win. Don't think two apps from RIM are 1 and 2 by chance.....just saying....

Glad ScoreMobile won. That is definitely one of the most used apps on my phone.

Love the bathroom sign. Glad to see that QuickLaunch, ScoreMobile, and Pandora all won - those are great apps. Little surprised that Player for YouTube won (since it only plays standard quality and is actually harder to use than the mobile site with a Quicklaunch search), but then again, the runner-up wallpaper changer did mess up CB.com for a few days, so that was probably the right call!

Congrats to Shao for Wallpaper Changer and BellShare for all their great apps!

Congrats to all the winners. I don't think I would change anything about the outcome of those awards, they were all well deserved.

Thanks Crackberry for putting on the party and Xobni for hosting it. Even though I have pretty much no application development skills, seeing your office makes me want to work there. I had a lot of fun though. Didn't win the PlayBook like I hoped, but I did get a case for my 9700. I don't know if that 2 drink maximum was serious or not, but I definitely had more than that. Thanks again and congrats to the winners.

Many thanks to all the developers and companies supporting Blackberry and its users. You are all winners in my book. And let us not forget CrackBerry, for without them none of this would be possible!!!

Its to bad there wasn't something in there for the opera mini app. IMO it is the best app there is for any phone.
