Drive Your Friends and Family Insane: bbExecutor App Mimics Original Executor Keychain w/ Eight Assault Sounds Ahh... this one totally brings back fond memories as I was indeed an owner of the original Executor keychain and played with it non-stop until my older brother eventually stole it from me, put it on the floor and jumped on it until it crumbled into little pieces. I still haven't forgiven him.... though I guess I can let the issue drop now as new from Generation Media Group, bbExecutor mimics the original Executor keychain and offers up 8 of those classic assault sounds, including the ever-popular machine gun. Be sure to watch the video above to see bbExecutor in all it's glory. The app is available for both the Storm and non-touchscreen BlackBerry smartphones and is currently available for 99 cents (until July 31st - $1.99 regular price). Nine Must-Do Fixes for RIM's BlackBerry App World
It's been on the mind of some since BlackBerry App World launched, but good friend of CrackBerry Al Sacco lays out a few things for us all that must be done with BlackBerry App World if it is indeed here for the long haul in a new article on CIO.com. Much like Boy Genius' article the other day, where he shared his feelings on the future of RIM if changes were not made swiftly, Al gives us all a great perspective and insight for the future of App World if changes are not made within that realm as well. Be sure to check it out for a good read through and if you haven't done so already, read the BG's post as well. Both put words to what many have been grumbling for a while now and call RIM out to pick up their game in areas where they've been slacking. Hopefully it all means good things for us BlackBery users in the not so distant future.

CrackBerry App Store Client Updated: 20% Off Grand Opening Sale Extended Until July 4th! Back on June 3rd we posted that the CrackBerry App Store client was now official and out of beta, but following that release still found we had a few bugs affecting a small portion of users that needed to be ironed out. This is for all of you BlackBerry Storm owners out there waiting for Beejive IM to finally hit the Storm. Well, while the completed version may yet be a ways off in the meantime you can grab the latest beta in all it's glory. I have downloaded the Beejive Storm betas before and was never quite impressed, they were always full of bugs that I really just could not understand even why they were not fixed beforehand but this time around the beta is much more polished. I guess that is due to the sheer amount of people that are offering feedback on the application. New additions this time around include:
There are some nice changes there to what is shaping up to be a great application on the Storm as it is on any other BlackBerry device, be sure to check it out and please remember being a beta Beejive needs and wants feedback on any issues that do arise so post them in their support forums if you find any.

New Application WiFi Disabler: Turn Off WiFi Radio When Your Router Is Out Of Range
I just got word of a cool new app called WiFi Disabler. The premise is simple - when a WiFi connection to your router is lost, WiFi Disabler will turn off WiFi radio on your device to help save battery life. You can set a specified time-out to give your device a chance to reconnect, and after the allotted time WiFi radio will shut off and alert you. If you are a power user and leave WiFi on when you leave the house or office, this may come in handy. However I suppose the big drawback for most will be that the application only disables WiFi, and it doesn't appear to turn on again when a valid network is found. WiFi Disabler works with and WiFi enabled device running OS 4.5+. You can grab it for $3.95 from ShopCrackBerry.com.

PatternLock Lite Now Available Free For Storm Users
PatternLock for the BlackBerry Storm has been one of our best selling apps since it's release a few months back. Tafasa has taken notice and released PatternLock Lite. The lite version is available free and works in the same manner, but only contains the bare bones application features. PatternLock Lite gives Storm users a 3x3 grid of dots which are connected in a specific pattern to unlock the device. The full verison gives users the option of custom wallpaper, password protection, location based locking and more. I'm glad Tafasa has gone this route and has both a premium and free version of the app and can only hope more developers follow in their footsteps. In conjunction with the release, Tafasa is offering $1.00 off the full version of PatternLock. Head over to CrackBerryAppStore.com (or use our mobile client) from your device, and enter the coupon code patternlock1off to purchase PatternLock for only $1.99. This coupon code will only work from your device at CrackBerryAppStore.com.

TuneWiki Pro And Free Version Released In App World TuneWiki Pro and Free ad supported versions have been released via BlackBerry App World today. The pro version will set you back $4.95 and does NOT include any ads, but for those who do not want to pay the $4.95 can download the free version can be had as well. TuneWiki is a media player which scans your music library for content and then allows you to listen to your music using the app, but the real purpose of the application is that it will help you learn the lyrics to your favorite songs as well as since they are displayed across the screen while your music plays. Yes, that's right -- no more making up lyrics for songs anymore. You know you did it, The Rolling Stones Beast of burden will no longer be "everyday a pizza's burnin" ... you will now know the right lyrics. On top of the lyric integration it also allows you to to share and update what you are listening to with all your Facebook and Twitter friends although, don't blame TuneWiki if you lose some followers for excessively sharing all the bad music you thought no one would ever catch you listening to ;)

Bolt Browser Beta3 Released - Adds Copy and Paste; Brings WebKit4 Rendering and More to your Browsing Experience It's been a while since we have heard from the folks behind Bolt Browser, but that doesn't mean they have not been hard at work improving on their already stellar (and popular - they passed the 1 million phone installs milestone) third party BlackBerry web browser. In fact, they have just released a hot new upgraded version of Bolt which signifies their jump into Beta3 (version 1.04) which introduces a whole slew of incremental improvements. First of all, they have added the ability to upload too YouTube and Photobucket for your media files. Secondly, the ability to organize your favorites and copy text has been integrated. And finally, all of Bolt's servers (which do up the rendering job) have been upgraded too WebKit4 which enhances the fonts within the browser and allows for inline text entry on webpage forms and also adds the capability to display Cyrillic fonts. This is a solid upgrade to what was already a great browser to begin with. You can read the full press release after the jump and be sure to check out the newest offerings and leave some comments if you give it a go. Current Bolt users can upgrade within the app (visit a webpage and you'll be prompted to download the new version) while existing users can download from boltbrowser.com.
