Smartphone Experts Roundtable 5 - Catch Up! With the Palm Pre and iPhone 3Gs now on the market, and the BlackBerry Tour rolling out soon (plus Nokia and HTC have some cool stuff happening too by way of the N97 and Hero), we ditched this week's CrackBerry podcast in favor of a Smartphone Experts Round Table. We recorded live on the air last night, but if you didn't tune in you can catch the recording below as Dieter, Rene, Matt and I talk all things smartphone.

Podcast Episode 037: The Three Cracketeers Sans Kevin As I type this post I'm staring out a hotel window in Miami Beach looking at the ocean, so you might say I've been a little off my BlackBerry game this week. BUT that didn't stop the three Crackateers -- Craig, Adam and Bla1ze -- from stepping up to record a CrackBerry Podcast for all our listeners out there. I just listened to the show and it's a good one! You'll definitely want to tune in to hear the latest in the world of BlackBerry as well as some discussion on the Palm Pre and iPhone 3G S. It's funny... this is the first episode I haven't been on and I think it's also the first time I've ever actually gone back and listened to a full CB cast (which still went over an hour without me there - so you can't only blame me for the length of these things lol). Informative and fun... you can listen in below... I give it two CrackBerry thumbs up!

Podcast Episode 036: CrackBerry A.D.D. Again... Back in February we called Episode 031 CrackBerry A.D.D. because we bounced all over the place. I'm pretty sure that name serves Episode 036 pretty well too. With some technical glitches, no real script or agenda, and lots happening as we recorded in real time, this show is definitely a messy one. BUT...it's a good one for all the podcast listeners out there. Adam, Craig and I work through the news and rumors and leaks of the past few weeks since WES. We had some reports that our podcast player was slowing down some web browsers, so we put it "after the break". Click on through to take a listen!

Podcast Episode 035: The Marathon
Wowza. After a month long hiatus (how does that happen?!) from our regularly scheduled CrackBerry podcast, Craig and I were joined yesterday by Bla1ze for what was planned to be a quick show. But somehow, between all the catch-up and discussion on the 9630, Gemini, App World, my mom's new BlackBerry Bold (her first cell phone at the age of 60!) and going through community emails this turned into a MARATHON of a show. You'll want to download Episode 35 and listen to it in a few parts. BlackBerry Gemini New Info: On the topic of the Gemini, we talked about a lot of BIG details that haven't hit the blogosphere yet, like its optical trackball (no moving parts!), rubberized side body, dedicated media player buttons and more. If you want to save yourself some listening, but want those details, you can find most of them in this forum post I made last week. Next Podcasts Coming at you Live on Location from WES 2009: I'm flying out to Florida on Thursday and next week will be attending WES 2009. From the Crack Team, Adam Zeis, Bla1ze and kasperapd will also be in attendance to help with the coverage, so we'll be sure to do a couple of big group podcasts like we did last year. Stay tuned!

There's a little something for everyone in this episode. Take a listen. We hope you enjoy. Show notes after the jump!

Podcast Episode 033: CrackBerry Catch Up!
Finally! After what feels like forever (I literally forgot how to even record to one of these things), Craig and I got online Sunday evening for a little over an hour and played BlackBerry catch up. We have some fun in this CrackBerry Podcast episode as we work our way through the events of the past few weeks and look to the future and what *could* be coming down the pipe. Heck, I even have a "Niagara" epiphany! Enjoy the show!

SPE Roundtable Podcast 03: Mobile World Congress Recap!
It has been a bit quiet for news in the BlackBerry world, so we skipped this week's CrackBerry Podcast and instead have an info-packed Smartphone Experts Roundtable podcast for y'all to listen to!! Join Dieter, Matthew, Rene, Casey and yours truly as we discuss Mobile World Congress 2009 -- there's a little bit for everybody in this gigantic cross-platfrom smartphone podcast! It was educational for me being on the show as it forced me to step outside the BlackBerry bubble I prefer to live in! Show details after the jump. And we'll back back next week with a regularly-scheduled CrackBerry Podcast.

Podcast Episode 032: Live from NYC!!
Here it is CrackBerry Podcast listeners... THIS IS THE SPECIAL EDITION SHOW WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! It took us 32 episodes to make it happen, but in this show we hit two BIG milestones:
We recorded this on Wednesday in a hotel room on the 43 floor of the Marriot Marquis in New York City (picture after the break)! Craig and I were in attendance that day for the BlackBerry Solutions for Business 2009 Press Preview (follow up article to come) where some awesome folks from RIM walked us through BES 5.0, MVS and more. When the formal part of the day was done, Mike Kirkup, Manager of Developer Relations for Research in Motion, joined us for a CrackBerry Podcast! YOU WILL WANT TO LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE FOR ALL KINDS OF WICKED INFO. Over the course of an hour, we throw a lot of questions at Mike like Will we see Flash on a BlackBerry? and Will we be able to run apps off a memory card? and we even talk OS 5.0 and App Store details. We also hit Mike up with some more personal BlackBerry-use questions... and I'm happy to say Mike passed the CrackBerry test - he is as ADDICTED to his BlackBerry as all of us! This is a MUST LISTEN episode. Huge thanks to Mike for joining us on the show, as well as Simon Sage from IntoMobile, who added to the Cracktastic fun. You're both welcome back anytime. Enjoy the show!!

Podcast Episode 031: CrackBerry A.D.D.
Here it is folks. Another four-person CrackBerry.com podcast! We had a lot of positive feedback to our last episode, so we went for another humdinger this time around. Joining me and Craig on the crackcast hot seats is Rene Ritchie, Community Editor of our favorite frenemy TheiPhoneBlog.com, along with our Twitter-addicted friend and CB blogger / forums moderator, Adam Zeis. I'm calling this show CrackBerry A.D.D... cause we really bounce all over the place in this one (my fault - I blame not enough sleep nor food and too much berrying!). We also managed to experience a couple of technical difficulties, so thanks in advance for the patience on that. But by the time the 90 mins are up we've pretty much covered all that's new in the wonderful world of BlackBerry. Big thanks to our guests! We hope you enjoy the show!

Podcast Episode 030: CrackBerry Addicts Unite!
Here it is folks, Episode Oh Three Oh, and what a shOW it is. We wanted to follow up our live on location CES 2009 podcast with another humdinger (did I seriously just type humdinger?!) so we invited Al Sacco and Nan Palmero back for some Cracktastic good times. Warning - at over 90 minutes this show runs long, but we cover pretty much everything going on in the world of BlackBerry. If you're a CrackBerry addict, you'll want to give this one a listen for sure. And if you're a Twitter addict, you can follow all of this show's particpants... @crackberrykevin, @ibanyan (Craig), @asacco and @nanpalmero. We hope you enjoy the Episode 030! It wasn't recorded in a Casino bar in Las Vegas, but it was a still a fun time!
