AppleBerry Dark Premium Storm Theme

AppleBerry Dark!

After having created the highly popular AppleBerry Theme Suite, theme developer Hastings went into his think tank to come up with his next hot new theme -- and he came back with 14 new versions of it. Yes, you read that right, the man is a workhorse and designed 14 new versions of his new theme AppleBerry Dark.

Now, don't let the name fool you, this is not a rehashed version of the AppleBerry Suite series. This is a whole new generation of it, which looks, feels and works amazingly well. Currently only supported for Storm series devices this one will set ya back $6 but you get 14 versions -- not just one theme, a zip file with 14 versions in total for $6. For more information and screenshots check out the theme posting in the CrackBerry Forums.

Free Carbon Slick Theme For BlackBerry Bold!

Ninja_says has released a nice and elegant new theme for those of you out there who like a little customization but still need a classier look than what standard themes can offer. Carbon Slick, even though using original icons has quickly become one of my favorite themes for my Bold.

With weather application integration, a hidden today screen and a user customizable bottom dock containing 6 icons, this theme is just as it's says -- slick. You'll love the cost as well, zip, zilch, zero, nada! Nice price for a great looking Bold theme. Be sure to check out all of Ninja_says other themes as well, all reasonably priced or free.

New: StormKick Theme for the BlackBerry Storm - 99 cents!
Posted in BlackBerry Themes on 25 Jun 2009 10:16 by Kevin Michaluk | 12 comments

A new theme popped up in the CrackBerry forums that is getting a LOT of attention. StormKick, by KD, is pretty slick (watch the video above) and offers the following features:

  • Tap the StormKick Trackball Orb on the homescreen to switch between the first six Static icons and the next six User Definable icons
  • Icons 7-10 in the Application Menu are accessible on the homescreen by clicking one of the four buttons on the StormKick Trackpad from top to bottom
  • On the Homescreen, by tapping any of the first six static icons, a corresponding large icon pop up will slide in from the right
  • Features a 5 entry Today Area
  • Click the top banner to launch the 3rd Party App "QuickLaunch" (not included)
  • Click the Time on the Homescreen to open the Clock application
  • Click any blank spot on the homescreen to go straight to the Application Menu

I love these themes that are initiated and developed with the help of the CrackBerry community. Be sure to jump into the forums to view the Official StormKick thread. As for cost, KD has put StormKick on the market for the low, low price of 99 cents. You can grab it from the CrackBerry App Store at the link below.

Professional Precision Plus Today Theme
Posted in BlackBerry Themes on 23 Jun 2009 12:29 by Bla1ze | 32 comments

Professional Precision Plus Today!

A lot of people like the original themes that actually come default on their BlackBerry devices but wish they had just a little more, such as a today plus section. Sadly, RIM decided to leave the today plus versions of themes off of their newer devices so that leaves us relying on professional theme designers such a Hedone Hawker over at Hedone designs to fill the void we all now have.

Hedone has just completed his latest Precision Today Plus theme, which stays true to the original themes but adds that awesome today section that everyone wants. You can grab this theme for $1.99 from the Shop CrackBerry Store today and is available for 8900, 9000, and Storm devices.

Calx Real Icon Themes for Bold, Storm and Curve 8900

Real Icon Theme

The creator of the Calx Real Icon themes dropped me an email the other day and I got a chance to check out his work. He has a line of the Real Icon theme for the Bold, Storm and Curve 8900 available in Zen and Today styles. The neat thing about this theme is that all of the icons have been rendered to give a very cool 3D effect. They are truly unique and very clean. The theme itself just has an overall look to it that I really enjoy - the battery and signal meters especially give it a nice touch. If you're in the market for a great theme you can hold on to for a while, definitely check out the Real Icon themes. All version are available at ShopCrackBerry.com for $7

Corey Visto BB Pre Theme For Bold & Curve 8900
Posted in BlackBerry Themes on 18 Jun 2009 10:27 by Adam Zeis | 4 comments

BB Pre

After quite a long hiatus, Corey Visto has returned with a great new theme called BB Pre.  Now I know that not many are fans of "look-alike" themes, but I think this one extremely well done.  It has a small clean banner along the top that doesn't take up too much real estate, as well as the crisp Pre icons for applications.  The menu screens and dialogs are crisp an easy to read, and the home screen is fully customizable.  BB Pre is currently available only for Bold and Curve 8900 devices.  You can purchase BB Pre at ShopCrackBerry.com for $7

Unique Ulterior Theme From Elecite
Posted in BlackBerry Themes on 18 Jun 2009 07:20 by Bla1ze | 27 comments

Hot New Ulterior Theme!

Elecite is back with another creative theme. This one takes on the "Alienware" look and has some creative implementations in it that set it off from any other theme out there.

It’s crafted with glowing “ribs” just like the real deal, which are actually fully functional and represent the power of your Battery and Signal meters. It’s extreme quality in the palm of your hand.

2 buttons next to the time control the hatch. Use the right one will open the hatch and reveal a handful of customizable icons. Closing it gives you quick access to your Messages, Media, and Calendar

Ulterior is available for the 8900, Bold and Storm from my testing though while it looks great on all the supported devices, it really shines on the Storm with the big display available to it. You can grab Ulterior for $6.99 from Elecite today. Check out all the screenshots as well as they do differ from device to device slightly.

New Guitar Hero World Tour Theme From Bplay
Posted in BlackBerry Themes on 11 Jun 2009 12:22 by Adam Zeis | 2 comments

Bplay has just let us know about an awesome new Guitar Hero World Tour theme. They are known for some great premium themes that never disappoint, and this one if no different. Even if you're not a fan of Guitar Hero, you should check this theme out. It has all the great Guitar Hero artwork, as well as a very cool "flame" icon highlight. The banner and meters reflect the game, right down to the button icons - the backgound even changes automatically every 10 minutes.  If you've got the itch to rock out with this one, you can pick it up for $5.99 from Bplay.com.

Noble- Premium Theme From Elecite!

Elecite has just released a hot new theme for Storm, Bold and 8900 devices called Noble. This theme has just become my favorite theme out there, even the wallpaper on this theme is awesome.

With 3 dedicated buttons that are placed nicely on the main screen and a hidden pop up dock that houses 6 or 8 other customizable icons (depending on device) this theme looks great on all three devices it supports. The icons are very sharp and screen transitions are nice and smooth and overall appearance just looks great. Storm uses need not worry either, theme works and looks great on the Storms display and Bold and 8900 users will be just as happy. Be sure to check out all the screen shots on Elecite to get a better look at all the screen options, buy in cost is $6.99 for Noble.

Updated Se7en & OS X Like Themes For BlackBerry Storm

Updated Se7en & OS X Like Themes For BlackBerry Storm

Now that Hedone is back from a little break, he has been hard at work on some new themes such as the previously mentioned BussFast - but he hasn't stopped there. Hedone has gone back to some of his older themes as well such as Se7en & OS X Like and corrected some things within those to make them even that much better.

Although Hedone didn't say what was corrected, knowing him if was just minor things that no one but him (being a perfectionist) will even notice. In any event, previous purchasers of these themes should have already gotten their free update notifications, and if you are new to Hedone's work, both these themes are a great start to make yourself familiar since they are currently on sale for only $4.

Berry Sleek Theme from WJD Designs for BlackBerry Storm
Posted in BlackBerry Themes on 09 Jun 2009 14:22 by Adam Zeis | 18 comments

Berry Sleek Berry Sleek

Forums member YourFriendWayneD has been getting into the swing of theme design and has cranked out some really classy ones for the Storm as of late.  His most recent is called Berry Sleek.  This theme goes above and beyond the standard.  It is crisp with bright icons, and has a ton of homescreen shortcuts to show the top dock, today feature, connections, calendar and more.  The design uses bold colors and has a great business feel to it.  Berry Sleek is on sale for $5 until Friday, so don't miss out.  You can also check out all of Wayne's other themes at ShopCrackBerry.com.
