Despite how much I love using the Remember app built into BlackBerry 10, there is plenty of folks out there who are always on the lookout for a simpler solution or just plain don't like Remember. One app I've become fond of over the past little while is Corky Notes by Qbotron. The app itself is has a fairly simple use case and that is, if you're looking to take a quick note then all you have to do is open up Corky Notes, tap add note and start typing. Once added, the note will appear on the cork board and when left in an open active frame will serve as a reminder. Need to delete a note? Just drag it to the recycle bin and it's gone. It's just that easy.

Corky Notes is available as a free download for both the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 and with it, you can add up to five notes on the screen. If you wish to add more, there is an in-app purchase for $1.99, which allows for unlimited notes and offers access to different note colors or as they're described in the app, themes and you also set event reminders with the paid version. Additionally, if you purchase the app then all future feature updates will be available for free and the developer is certainly open to feedback regarding what you all would like to have added.

Check out the quick run through video above, if you're just looking for a nice, simple, native note taking solution then Corky Notes is where it's at. If you need more info, hit the BlackBerry World link below. Fun Fact: This app is the result of attending BlackBerry Live and taking in a few sessions on app building.

Yea, MemoPad from the legacy OS is missed by many. I kinda miss the combination of trackpad and keyboard shortcuts as well :T

You guys have no idea what cool features we have planned for this app. The next major iteration will be so much win!

Thanks for helping us spread the news Bla1ze!!

Remember is the most underrated and wrongly maligned app on BB10. It is better in every single way than Memopad. There is nothing that Memopad does that remember does not do, and do better (and more easily) than memopad.

The ability to organize your notes into collections and also include voice notes and documents is incredibly useful and practical.

I've never heard a single complaint made about remember that wasn't based on misinformation.

Some have even said Remember is worst than memopad because memopad has tasks and remember doesn't... even though memopad never had tasks (that was a separate application).

Just looked it up. The UI resemblance to Corky Notes (and to any other notes-on-a-corkboard organizing system) is uncanny. Correct me if I'm wrong as I've never used a webOS device but I think the interaction and UX is completely different - Memo app from webOS places notes in simple 3 by ? grid whereas Corky Notes allows you to be more interactive with your notes.

It was never our intention to clone any app, we simply built Corky Notes to satisfy our needs! We know that it is not for everyone but we are hoping a lot of you will enjoy it like we do!

Awesome. Just downloaded the paid version. Very attractive and easy to use! Thanks for sharing!!

I don't understand why anyone believes that remember me isn't easy. I believe it is better in every way.

Not sure how it is possible to make it any easier...

This is the type of app that should showcase cascades and bb10! It is very simple but it uses cascades perfectly. Reminds me of the scrapbook app for the PlayBook! You can drag a note to the recycling or drag it to the share menu! I love that Control! More apps should use these features! Looks so nice!
