Contre Jour has already been hugely popular on other platforms, so it's a pleasure for the game to now be available for BlackBerry 10. It's kind of a hard game to describe but here goes (or just watch the video).
You control a creature named Petit. The aim of the game is to get him to the safety of the big blue light, but on the way you must collect as many of the small blue orbs as possible. The way you move Petit is rather original. Instead of actually moving him you need to use gestures to move the landscape - so dragging it down will create a slope for him to roll down. It does take a bit of getting used to but it's actually quite clever.
As you progress through the levels you'll need to utilize tentacles (I'm glad I spelt that right) as well to collect the orbs. Petit can attach to more than one tentacle so just drag it towards him and if it's long enough he will attach. A simple tap of the tentacle will release Petit and this way you'll be able to cover areas of the level where there is no landscape to maneuver.
The graphics are absolutely stunning with Contre Jour and the game has a beautiful classical sound track. With 100 levels in total this one is highly addictive so you'll want to get comfortable before playing.
Priced at £2.00/$2.99 Contre Jour certainly is good value for money. I suspect we'll see this one in the top paid games in BlackBerry World real soon. The only downside at the moment is that the game only supports the Z10 and Z30.
