Looks to me they pulled names in alphabetical order, and my name nor anyone past the name with "rol" in it won for thetherberry. With so many people putting in for the tetherberry contest that looks quite unfair if you ask me. How else would you explain that not a single name with "S,T,U,V,W,X,Y or Z" won in thetherberry, but they won in other contests. If this is the way they pull is the first random thousand get it in alphabetical order I'm changing my name to something with an "A" in it.

Hey folks..message Adam guy to find out why there is no winner with username after R. Its obvious this process is falwed, I think its time to sign up and move your membership to blackberryos.com and blackberryrocks, as they have better giveaways anyway. CB forget its US, members that made them strong, and rigged contest like this will be begining of end of their popularity and relevance.

It's possible that Crackberry gave a list of the entrants to Tetherberry and THEY picked the first 1000 names in alphabetical order.

I agree - the usernames S-Z not being selected is totally lame. What a crock of crap crack..

Instead of the first 1000 unique users to post in the thread they instead choose to list all users who posted, regardless of order, and list the alphabetically thus cutting off anything after "R". So even if you posted 1st in the thread, if your name begins with an "S" or above you're shite out of luck.

Yes, very unfair, noway possible its a coincidence..CB probably wont take away from the winners, but I think there should be another draw for the S-Z users using 1/10 odds, like it should have been for all. But if they decide to make up for the emotional pain and lost hopes, and give each S-Z the app, would be great.

The longer winner lists, at least recently, have ALWAYS ended with no winners from the end of the alphabet. The first time I thought it was just a weird coinsidence but more than once??? I think not. My username starts with U and I've not even had a chance to win???

i have entered every contest , ever since i registered .

i have noticed repeat winners in most of the contests .
seeing how this contest was the same and that not all username (beginning letters) were used , makes me understand their process .

I like the way BerryAddict.net contests work .
its not based off the username , its based off the member ID number .
a random under generator determines the winner(s)
so usernames doesnt help any.

maybe crackberry should start doing the same .

maybe I'll win something here sometime.

What i think isn't fair is people having mutiple usernames thats just the same has commenting more than once. It shouldn't count. I know theres a way of finding out whether or not one computer is registered to mutiple usernames through the IP address of the usernames. I am apart of Heliocity.net and they had a way of filtering these people out. But anyways hey it was never mines to complain about me not getting it back. However, I think the update to the post is not accurate and possibly and outright lie:

Yesterday, I was thinking this was all a mistake - names were left off and maybe, just maybe, I would get an email saying I won. To provide myself with a dose of reality, I copied the list of winners into an Excel spreadsheet and it came to 1000 rows. Today, after the update, I did the same thing and it came to 1184 rows. So, clearly there was not a copy/paste issue. They had their 1000 winners yesterday, and added 184 more to try and get everyone to shut up.

Be honest with us Crackberry, or people are going to question all the contests into the future.

Question, how to get my copy of TetherBerry?

Quite frankly, lets say the copy and paste screw up was with the program that randomly chooses winners.

They posted what it gave out with the incomplete list, when they realized they made a mistake, instead of re-doing the whole contest and only giving out 1000 copies, they contacted the wonderful people at tetherberry and said hey look, we made a mistake and gosh we would feel really bad if A) we left out everyone after R or B) took a prize away from someone we have already posted on the list.

So the people at Tetherberry, and Crackberry made a deal for an extra week of advertising, and voila, we now have an extra 184 winners, 18.4 being the percentage of people who were left off the original draw.

Quite frankly there is nothing to complain about here. In fact, EVERYONE who signed up for the draw should be thankful. due to this screw up and the generous way in which they fixed it we all had better chance of winning than we were supposed to.

Thanks CB and TBerry, ( I couldn't put TB without feeling weird).
