With the BlackBerry Tour to be available from Verizon and Sprint on July 12th and shortly thereafter from Telus and Bell in Canada (and am sure other CDMA folks - Alltell, etc. will be getting it soon), it's time for us to have a good 'ole fashioned CrackBerry.com contest!!

This should be the best phone yet on cdma carriers. It has everything the storm has except the touch screen which is a good thing because the keyboard is the best thing RIM does. My favorite feature is that you can scroll through pics with the track ball just like swiping them on the storm. Wish you would have done "what would you do for a Tour".

I love the Tour! I have been waiting on Sprint to get a new Blackberry, and I'm so excited they finally have!!

I've had many phones over the years. I also purchased an iPod Touch when it was first released. The BlackBerry Storm has been...well...a challenge. It is my first BlackBerry, so the software, technology, etc. are all great. I just don't think RIM did a great job with the phone as a whole though. I've been able to get my hands on the Bold, Curve, Pearl, and many other models of the BlackBerry and I can say that, while RIM is aiming for something great with the touch screen phone, the full keyboard is the way to go for now. I really want to get my hands on a new Tour so that I can enjoy all of the benefits of a BlackBerry without all of the hassles that come along with the Storm!

I am new to Blackberry. I got the Storm after going back and forth between it and the Curve. The Tour has everything the Storm does, plus it has the form factor of the more intuitive Curve. It is really what I was looking for. I should have waited just a little longer...

i've been begging my parents to get me a blackberry, but it wouldn't be fair for my siblings because we can't afford to get phones for everyone else. i am a frequent texter and i don't use a qwerty keyboard, so this phone will be perfect! i also never win anything, so i thought i'd try this out, seeing as i don't want to be stuck with a little lg chocolate for the next few months!

By all accounts this is going to be one of the best if not the best BB to date (even BGR likes it). I've been saying for months that I would be willing to pay full retail for this if necessary, and truth be told the willingness is there but the finances may not be :-(

I'm not one of those "save me from the storm" whiners. I have a storm and I like it. The Storm is great for what it is, but there is just something to be said for a physical qwerty keyboard and track ball.

This is going to be an amazing device and I sincerely hope that I win one . . .

I so desperately need this phone I don't know where to begin. They won't let me exchange the third Storm I've had for the new Tour and I can't afford retail...

I LOVE my Blackberry and all the wonderful features it has..I can keep in contact with many people via PIN etc...however I can't deal with this Storm any longer...

Sprint model for me.
Why? WellI have been migrating from the 8300, to the 8310, to the 8900. I need to get into the 9xxx series of devices and the Tour is a perfect start.
I bought the 8900 outright and the wife will not allow me to get another device unless I win one. And Sprint is a vendor we use at work on the BES..... win win all around!

I've been using a WM6 phone for 2 years now, and its practically unusable for almost anything. The touchscreen is shot, when typing it takes about 8 seconds for text to show up, and the list goes on...

I was planning on going to Verizon a week or so after the tour comes out demanding a new phone (unsatisfied with the storm). I was going to play dumb and act as if I had never heard of the Tour. The BB Tour is indeed a grand tour .It has a easy grip a titanium bezel or silver plate.The center stage is the track ball, return and menu keys.Even big fingers can use the qwerty keyboard.256 memory (about time RIM).For storage we have the card slot (APPS and Games here we come).Who takes a tour without pictures ,clarity is important right.And the best part,no more scratches or breaking a nail to get the back cover off (Hallelujah ).Thanks again RIM. I think I've covered it all,but maybe not. This is just the beginning of our journey.After all, it is a GRAND TOUR 9 or better known as the BB TOUR 9630.

The main reason I want a BB tour is the 256MB of RAM. The 3.2 MP auto-focus camera is nice, and the great processor and battery life are amazing, but the biggest change from my trusty old 8330 will be the increased memory. I just can't run enough applications on the 8330 (especially if I keep BB App World), I really need more RAM. More speed, a better camera, a slightly improved UI are nice, but more RAM is the reason to upgrade!

As superficial as it may sound, the interface of the Tour is what draws me the most. I also use the speakerphone quite a bit and the Tour's is apparently very very good which would be perfect for me.

I am just starting to learn about all of the functions of my Blackberry and the different applications that are out there. Although I am definitely very impressed, I still think Blackberry, at least the Curve, still has a long way to go in terms of its design. Perhaps the Blackberry Tour could change my mind...
