I have had my Storm since July 1 and though it's only been one week, I so far do not care for it on many levels! It is my first BlackBerry and I expected better, despite the reviews I read, you know? It also does not get as good reception anywhere my LG VX8700 did.

I'll give this phone 'til around July 20th or so, but I'm pretty sure I will be back at my local Verizon store to switch out to a BB w/a real keyboard, or some other smartphone that will be better for me.

... would be a $0.00 upgrade! Currently, I'm a client with Telus, but I actually signed on through the original Clearnet "Friends & Family Plan" pre-release of PCS in 1997. I have an excellent voice plan that I have retained despite all attempts to "upgrade" me, and added an unlimited e-mail/web plan last summer when I bought the Pearl 8130. Failing eyesight now means that I have had to crank up the font size to be able to read messages and the limited screen size is somewhat tiresome. The keypad on the 8330 is too tight for my thumbs, but the Bold-like version on the 9630 seems much better from the reviews. Telus Client Retention reps are unable (unwilling?) to discuss any special dispensation until after the official launch, and after a couple of recent "toys" I've acquired, I would have a very difficult time getting the no contract cost past my wife. But she couldn't argue with $0.00, could she?

When I got ready to trade in my centro, I was dangerously close to getting the Pre. I changed my mind at the last minute and got the BB Curve 8330. Best thing I ever did! After spending the last 5-6 yrs upgrading phones probably every yr at least I have met my match with my curve 8330...it's the absolute best for all that I wanted. And now the Tour is quickly approaching and it's better than the best--I WANT ONE--SIGN ME UP!!!

I don't know enough on the GSM tech to know bands and what not. Say I go to Europe (Spain, Portugal, etc.) and South America (Ecuador). I have been following, waiting, anxiously anticipating the release of the BB Tour for many months now - I constantly checked the internet for any new information on the Blackberry Niagara turned Tour. After hearing the unconfirmed release date get pushed further and further back, I finally couldn't wait any longer and traded in my old Verizon phone and settled for the Blackberry Curve in April. Definitely worth the switch because blackberrys are AMAZING, but nothing can compare to the sleek design and of the Tour. No one can get my hands off my phone, and I constantly check up on crackberry on Viigo way too many times a day because I love learning about new technology and blackberrys. But when I heard the date for the Tour was finally confirmed for the 12th, it was the same day I was hit with an enormous bill. Because of the economy, I could not find a job for the summer, so I am interning in Manhattan and with the commute, all my money is spent on food, trains, and paying off this bill. Because I just used my upgrade with Verizon, the only way I would be able to have the Tour is to buy it at full retail price - almost $500!!! There is no way I can afford that.

It absolutely breaks my heart that when the Tour is finally released, I do not have enough to pay for it - after obsessing over its release for months. If it was released in the much speculated month of May, I was ready to be the first to pre-order it, but now, bad luck and bad timing ruin that possibility.

Please help turn my luck around!!!

As a business professional, I cannot tell you how embarrassing it is to have my Storm fail on a daily basis.
