Telenav

If you've looked into GPS on your BlackBerry device, you know there are limited options. Many users travel, and the convenience of having GPS on your device can be extremely helpful. There are multiple offerings, some free and some subscription based, but by far the best I have found has to be Telenav. Its simple to use, and it has all the full features you could expect from a stand-alone device. Turn-by-turn directions with spoken street names, full-color 3D maps, automatic reroute, favorites and multiple search functions all add to the great features. Telenav is available in BlackBerry App World free for 14 days. After the trial, subscriptions start at $9.99/month

Contest: Leave a comment on this post and you will be entered to win one of two 6-month subscriptions (value of nearly $60) to Telenav. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment, multiple submissions won't count.

I've been hearing great things. and the photo looks just as nice. Hopefully this would be something for me to enjoy if won.

This would be kool - Telenav is supposed to be the premier GPS app for the BlackBerry. I look forward to using this subscription!

I like the GPS feature, but on a recent trip it was way off on finding something that should have been very easy seeing how the location was right off the side of I-35 in Oklahoma. But aside from that, it's quite handy not only as a GPS unit but making use of the information shared amongst the other apps that use the GPS portion of the Blackberry. I have the Bold 9000, love it. Just recently activated the GPS on it and aside from the one time being off, it's pretty nice.

I'm on AT&T so I'm not sure if they have certain features from carrier to carrier, but has a lot to offer especially if you're walking around in a big city. Comes in quite handy finding your location. What I would love to see added as a feature though is in it's search functions. The ability to find and locate Gas, Lodging and Food that is nearby. This would help when you're in a pinch, not knowing where to start looking first.

Anyway, great up, makes good use of your BBerry's GPS functionality. Can't wait to see what is in store next! Love this site btw! Awesome!

Very useful app. Would love to get my hands on this.

Many times i've used the GPS function on my Javelin, and find it hard to navigate. This is much GPS-handheld-like.

I sure could use this app. I spend four to five days a week on the road and its a pain to drag a stand alone GPS with when I already have my Bold.

I'd love to win something for a GPS, I'm too cheap to buy one, but trying it for 6 months might persuade me.

I would love to have this app. I used it for the 30 day trial and it was great... I need this app... Please choose me!

Does this offer any type of traffic updates? I use google maps on my tour and love that when traveling major roads I can see the traffic based on a red, yellow, or green roadway.

My Garmin is hard mounted to my truck and it would be nice to have my blackberry to use in other vehicles.

Sprint users really have no need for this. I don't think the telenav app is any different than Sprint Navigation (as sprint nav is based on telenav). I'll enter the contest anyway. Just for kicks.

I always get lost and like a typical male I refuse to ask for directions. This subscription would allow me to extend my "refuse to ask directions" streak for another six months!! LOL

Oh finally this came as a free giveaway! I have been looking for so long... my father took my car away, which had a built in GPS, and now I am without one and boy let me tell you how annoying it is! You get lost for like 30 mins just to realize you're withing .25 miles of your home! ARGH!

Oh Please please let me get one of these! I'd be so happy :)

I have a friend that has Telenav and I thought man that would be a cool app to have and then I see this contest for Telenav GPS. I know....how wierd is that right?

Well at least 2 lucky people will win a free subscription to the Telenav GPS software, I just hope I'm one of them!

I've been reading the site for a while now, but this is my first post. I travel nearly 1,000 miles a week and this would be incredible. I'd really like to win! Thanks!

It would be great if i win. I would give it to my brother as i already have GPS software provided by my carrier!

I just moved to a new city and don't know how to get anywhere. I need this!
I have an ipod touch that I use the map feature on and I'll take it with me and make sure not to move the screen or else I'll loose it.

I just downloaded this application last month.
So far I have found it to be accurate and easy to use. It is feature rich enough to satisfy anyone who has used a portable navigation device, but not overwhemigly hard to use on a phone. I also have found that it does not cause my handheld to lag either.

I particularly like how the navigation can be heard through your Bluetooth headset.

Great Application! I look forward to continued use.

Thank you for offering a free subscription to try-out Telenav! I have friends that have GPS on their phone and love it but couldn't decide whether it's worth the investment or not! GPS is a wonderful application, especially for those (me) who travel for work!

It's a very great application. In this moment, i try the trial version. Tomtom is better perhaps but for blackberry Telmap is the best GPS applications !

I use to use this program with sprint. Then I went to AT&T for the Bold and was duped into thinking they had this also. They do, but its not all inclusive like Sprint. Can't wait till my contracts up.

Would love to have this application on my Blackberry. Anyone with a GPS knows that it's much more convenient to have the street names spoken. A great addition.

I don't have a navi on my phone or in my car, so if I had this it would make travling a whole lot easier.

I keep putting off the update to my standalone GPS since the price to put it on my BlackBerry is about the same. So I wouldn't mind 6 months for free.

I just wasn't sure if the money was worth it. This would be a great way to use it for awhile to make sure, before spending money on the subscription. Thanks!

The older I get, the more I miss my exit on the interstate. This would help me out with that, not to mention directions to my clients houses. (Realtor...)

this would be awsome to have, i just recently tried it, and would love to have it as app for my storm...
good luck everyone!!!
