Someone’s in a giving mood! Sam from Fonware contacted me to let me know that their ShortcutMe application has been updated. To recap, ShortcutMe is an application that allows you to create multiple shortcuts on each convenience key. So click once for one app, click twice for another, click three times…you get the idea. If you want more info you can check out our full ShortCutMe Review here. Here’s what you can find in version 3.6.8.1:

  • Support for Storm 2, Bold 9700 and generally OS 5.0
  • New Bluetooth toggling feature that is faster and doesn’t require parameter settings
  • Toggle Bedside Mode using shortcuts. Set "BedsideModeToggle" to one of your multiple click shortcuts (i.e. click left conv. key 3 times before you sleep to save battery and stop messages from waking you up. Click conv. key 3 times again when you wake up), or set it as one of your main shortcuts (launch by for example clicking conv key + T B)
  • Toggle application using shortcuts. Set "ApplicationToggle" to one of your multiple click shortcuts (i..e. double click left conv key to toggle between last 2 apps you have been using), or set it as one of your main shortcuts
  • Faster response time

CONTEST: We have 10 free copies as well as 40 50% off copies to give away. To enter, please leave a comment on this post. Contest ends this Sunday at Midnight PST. Please only leave one comment - multiple submissions won't count.

ShortCutMe sells for $4.99. You can learn more about ShortCutMe and purchase it here.

I use ShortCutMe more than any other application on my phone! I love this application. it's so useful!

Shortcut makes my Blackberry easier to be used.
Fonware makes shortcut more useful than just "short".
With added support for OS5, it is best shortcuts.

Cheers.

I have Quicklaunch, but I believe this app would compliment it perfectly. Would love to have it. Thanks!

I have been interested in this app for awhile and the Bedside Mode shortcut may be just what motivates me to go forward.
Thanks for Crackberry for the info and opportunities.

I've been using this for over 5 months, and it's the best thing that's ever happened to my Pearl! After trying all of the available launching apps out there, this is the only one that excels with the SureType keyboard, and doesn't require any scrolling. The MultiClick feature is the icing on the cake.

I wish that the ShortcutMe option was the 4th click verse the first.
I rather get to the app's that I want rather then always first calling up the app itself.

It has to be the 1st screen up, so that you can access ALL of your shortcuts via the keyboard in the quickest way possible.

Although they recommend it, you don't have to set BOTH convenience keys to invoke ShortcutMe (I don't). MultiClick still works for all 3 keys(2 conv, enter) after it's open. You can keep one conv key set for the app to which you need one-click access.

As I said earlier I would prefer to choose what application is called up first second and so on.
The fact that the app (ShortcutMe) is locked in the first click is a negative for me.
My opinion

This sounds like a kick-*** app. Hopefully I win one. If not I just may buy it, it sounds that helpful!

My aging 8310 is getting slower and slower everyday even with the good ol bb 101 lecture tips and this would make navigating through my bb so much faster! thanks cb!

This sounds like a great app for my new Bold 9700 when I pick it up Monday. I will take one copy please.

there are many things in this world that i need
many things in this world that i want
many things that i just cannot have

but there is one thing i do have
and that is a blackberry
and how can i have a blackberry
and not have full access to my KEY FUNCTIONALITY!

I WANT TO HAVE SHORTCUTS TO EVERYTHING ON MY BLACKBERRY

i need this miracle

:)

Guy goes to a psychiatrist and says, "Doc, I have this problem." The doc says, "what's your problem?"

The guy says, "I've been real conflicted lately. Sometimes I think I am a wigwam. Some times I think I am a Tee Pee. Any idea what my problem is?"

To this the doctor replies, "I know what your problem is....you're too tense."

:)

woot.

i've really missed having my camera on a convenience key since i installed vlingo. would be nice to have it back on with a double click!

I was just arguing with a fanboy over the greatness that is our convenience keys. In true iPhone fanboy form, he argued that there's nothing convenient about convenience keys. I argued that he wouldn't know and that I wish I had 4 or 5 of them. This would be an amazing tool to add to my already amazing Storm 2.

This sounds like a very clever yet simple app that would be really really useful!

I'd love to have a copy of it!

I would really appreciate this app. No more fumbling apps! Please pick me...Early birthday preesent??? Thank you :)

Just downloaded the free trial...great stuff. I've been looking to replace BBSmart Shortcuts with something like this.

Shortcut ME!! Right to a free copy!! :) Or I'd settle with some discounted Shortcut love! Free or 50% off sounds great to ME!!

ive recently been thinking that its a shame that a great many more convenience keys would be so bulky and unattractive bc i wish i had more and now i hear about this great app. I'd love to be picked for the contest!
